International Emmy Award For Best Actress
The International Emmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress is an award presented annually by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (IATAS). The award honors the best performance by an actress in a made for-television fiction program (i.e. movie, mini-series, drama series, telenovela, or comedy series). Since its inception, the award has been given to 17 actresses. Lou de Laâge is the current recipient of the award, for her portrayal of Eugéne Cléry in ''The Mad Women's Ball''. Julie Walters has won the most awards in this category, with two awards. ''Mo'' is a 2010 TV film about the later life and career of the British Labour Party politician Mo Mowlam, written by Neil McKay and directed by Philip Martin. ''Marcella'' is a British nordic noir detective series, written, directed and produced by Swedish screenwriter Hans Rosenfeldt, creator of '' The Bridge''.
