In finance, intermediated research is a type of fundamental analysis or investment analysis of a business to establish its value for Investor, investors that attempts to avoid commercial pressure or influence. Many banks and brokers provide research to the investment community, however this form of research suffers from a real or perceived lack of objectivity (science), objectivity. For example, this research may be subject to influence from within a bank from, say, investment bankers keen to win company’s IPO mandate. An alternative form is known as ''Independent study, independent research'' or ''alternative research'', this is research that is not provided by a bank or broker. Fundamental Analysis
Fundamental analysis, in accounting and finance, is the analysis of a business's financial statements (usually to analyze the business's assets, Liability (financial accounting), liabilities, and earnings); health; Competition, competitors and Market (economics), markets. It also considers the overall state of the economy and factors including interest rates, production, earnings, employment, GDP, housing, manufacturing and management. Objectivity (science)
In science, objectivity refers to attempts to do higher quality research by eliminating personal biases (or prejudices), irrational emotions and false beliefs, while focusing mainly on proven facts and evidence. It is often linked to observation as part of the scientific method. It is thus related to the aim of testability and reproducibility.
