"Intense" is a composition by Dutch DJ and record producer Armin van Buuren featuring Israeli-American violinist Miri Ben-Ari. The track was released only in the Netherlands by Armada Music as a digital download on 22 November 2013 as the fourth single from van Buuren's fifth studio album ''Intense''. Introducing the album, the track combines van Buuren's trance music with Ben-Ari's violin sound. It was chosen as "tune of year 2013" by the listeners of Armin van Buuren's radio A State of Trance. Armin Jozef Jacobus Daniël van Buuren ( , ; born 25 December 1976) is a Dutch DJ and record producer from Leiden, South Holland. Since 2001, he has hosted ''A State of Trance'' (ASOT), a weekly radio show, which is broadcast to nearly 40 million listeners in 84 countries on over 100 FM radio stations. According to the website ''DJs and Festivals'', "the radio show propelled him to stardom and helped cultivate an interest in trance music around the world". Van Buuren has won a number of accolades. Andrei Rață (born 21 July 1992, in Chișinău), better known by his stage name Andrew Rayel, is a Moldovan producer and DJ. Initially releasing his music on Armada Music, Rayel founded the label "inHarmony Music" on 22 September 2017, where his role is label chief and head of A&R.
