Ines Pianka
Ines Pianka (born ) is a retired German female volleyball and beach volleyball player. She was the captain of the Germany women's national volleyball team at the 1996 Summer Olympics. On club level she played with VC Schwerte. In 1991 and 1995 she became the German Volleyball Player of the Year. With beach volleyball she competed at the 1999 European Beach Volleyball Championships , 2000 European Beach Volleyball Championships with Stephanie Pohl. Volleyball Players At The 1996 Summer Olympics
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. Jana Vollmer (also known as Jana Vollmerová, née Pechová, born May 5, 1973 in Mladá Boleslav) is a female former beach volleyball player from Germany, who was born in Czechoslovakia. Her family were of minority Bohemian German descent. In 1994, she played as part of the Czech Republic women's national volleyball team, featuring in the 1994 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship, where the Czech Republic finished ninth.
