Indian Cricket Team Against Pakistan In Sri Lanka In 2015–16
The Indian cricket team were scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in December 2015 to play Pakistan. The tour was planned to consist of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Despite several locations being suggested to host the matches, neither side could agree on when and where to play the games and the series did not go ahead. Background Originally the tour was scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates between 8 December 2015 and 9 January 2016, with the teams playing three Test matches, five ODIs and two T20Is. On 24 August 2015 Zaheer Abbas, the president of cricket's governing body, said that the series might be delayed. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about two and a half hours, with each innings lasting around 70 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings. Shoaib Akhtar
Shoaib Akhtar (; ; born 13 August 1975) is a Pakistani former cricketer and commentator. Nicknamed the "Rawalpindi Express", he was the first bowler to be recorded bowling at 100 miles per hour, a feat he achieved twice in his career. Akhtar made his Test match debut in November 1997 as an opening fast bowler and played his first One Day International three months later. Aleem Dar PP ( Punjabi, ur, ; born 6 June 1968) is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former cricketer. He is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. He won the David Shepherd Trophy three years in a row from 2009 to 2011, after being nominated twice in 2005 and 2006. Shahryar Mohammad Khan ( ur, شہریار محمد خان; born 12 March 1934) is a former career Pakistan diplomat who became Foreign Secretary of Pakistan in 1990, and remained so until his retirement from service in 1994. Shashank Venkatesh Manohar (; born 29 September 1957) is a prominent Indian lawyer and cricket administrator. The Indian cricket team toured Australia from 8 to 31 January 2016 to play two tour matches, five One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The full schedule for the tour was announced by Cricket Australia on 9 July 2015. Australia won the ODI series 4–1. The series broke the record for the most runs scored in a bilateral ODI series of five matches or fewer, with a total of 3,159.
