The Indian Super League Emerging Player of the League is an annual association football award presented to the best young player in the Indian Super League each season. The Indian Super League was founded in 2013, eight teams competed in the 2014 inaugural season. It became the joint top-tier of Indian football league system by 2017–18 season and is the top-tier since 2022–23 season. The first Emerging Player of the League was awarded to Sandesh Jhingan of Kerala Blasters in 2014. Sivasakthi Narayanan (born 9 July 2001) is an Indian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward for Indian Super League club Bengaluru FC, Bengaluru. Lalruatthara (born 7 January 1995) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for I-League club Inter Kashi. Club career Early career Born in Mizoram, Lalruatthara attended trials for the Chandigarh Football Academy in 2009 and managed to make it. He was soon though rejected from the academy for unknown reasons, with even Lalruatthara being confused over his exclusion. He soon joined the youth team of Luangmual before signing a senior contract with Chanmari of the Mizoram Premier League. Lalengmawia Ralte (born 17 October 2000), commonly known by the nickname Apuia, is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Indian Super League club Mumbai City and the India national team. Sumit Rathi (born 26 August 2001), is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Indian Super League club Mohun Bagan. 2019–20 Indian Super League Season
The 2019–20 Indian Super League season was the sixth season of the Indian Super League, one of the top Indian professional football leagues. The regular season began on 20 October 2019 and concluded on 14 March 2020. Hyderabad replaced the disbanded Pune City, whereas Delhi Dynamos moved to Bhubaneswar and rebranded as Odisha. Bengaluru were the defending champions, having won their maiden Indian Super League title by defeating Goa 1–0 in the 2018–19 final. However, both teams were knocked out in the semi-finals, with Bengaluru losing 3–2 on aggregate to ATK and Goa losing 6–5 on aggregate to Chennaiyin.
