Indian Society for Parasitology is a non profit making registered society formed under the aegis of the Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, working as a platform for the Parasitology, parasitologists in India for dissemination of knowledge and exchange of research information. The society is affiliated to the World Federation of Parasitologists. Profile Indian Society for Parasitology was established as a registered society under the Indian Societies Act in 1973. The organization serves as a platform for the parasitologists, researchers, biologists and academicians involved in the field of Parasitology related to humans and animals for promoting their activities, exchanging information and disseminating knowledge on the subject. The society has 700 life members and several Fellows honored under its Fellowship program. The Central Drug Research Institute is a multidisciplinary research laboratory in Lucknow, India, employing scientific personnel from various areas of biomedical sciences. Vinod Prakash Sharma
Vinod Prakash Sharma (6 April 1938 – 9 October 2015) was an Indian malariologist and entomologist, known for his work in vector biology and bioenvironmental control of malaria. Recipient of many awards, including the Padma Shri, he was again honoured by the Government of India, in 2014, by bestowing on him the third highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan. Biography Vinod Prakash Sharma was born on 6 April 1938 in Prayagraj, in Uttar Pradesh, India. After early education locally, he joined Allahabad University from where he secured MSc in 1960 and DPhil in 1964. Veena Tandon
Veena Tandon is an Indian parasitologist, academic and a NASI senior scientist at Biotech Park, Lucknow. She is a former professor of zoology at the North Eastern Hill University and serves as the chief instigator for the North-East India Helminth Parasite Information Database. She is known for her researches on worm infections afflicting the animals of food value and is the author of two books and several articles on parasitology. Indian Council Of Medical Research
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest and largest medical research bodies in the world. Maulana Azad National Urdu University is a Central University located in the city of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana. Mohammad Shamim Jairajpuri, commonly known as Shamim Jairajpuri, (born 1942) is an Indian zoologist.
