Basketball Federation Of India
The Basketball Federation of India (BFI) is the governing and controlling body of basketball in India. It is responsible for the development and promotion of the sports authority of India at all levels. BFI manages all the national-level basketball operations in India and sports authority of India is also undertaking basketball federation of India. It is involved in organizing training camps and national tournaments, and in preparing Indian teams for both men's and women's international competitions in various age categories. The national team of India is also known as the ''′Young Cagers′''. History First national level tournaments were organized in India in 1934. FIBA 3x3 World Championships
The FIBA 3x3 World Cup is a 3x3 basketball tournament for national teams organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). The debut of the tournament then named as the FIBA 3x3 World Championship was held in August 2012 in Athens, Greece. The current champions are Serbia in the men's division and France in the women's division. There are two events in the tournament; one for men and another for women. In the first edition, there was a mixed event where each team was composed of 2 men and 2 women. FIBA Asia 3x3 Cup
The FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup is the top basketball tournament in Asia for 3x3 national teams and was first held in 2013 as the FIBA Asia 3x3 Championship in Doha, Qatar. In the championship there are 2 events, men's and women's. Each team has 4 players (3 on court, 1 bench). The match is played on a half court and every rule applies as well as a 12-second shot clock and clearance needed on a new possession. From 2019 to 2022, the tournament was held in Changsha, China. 2022 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup
The 2022 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup was the fifth edition of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup. The games of the final tournament were held in Singapore between 6 July and 10 July 2022. Participating teams The FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup returns for its fifth edition this year and will see 53 teams from 30 countries battling it out to win the trophy. Set to take place from July 6-10 at the event plaza of Marina Bay Sands, the game - with its rising popularity over the years - has reached a significant high in participation numbers. The previous record was set in 2019 with 40 teams from 23 countries. A total of 30 men’s teams and 23 women’s teams have registered for the number one 3x3 national team competition for teams based in Asia and Oceania. 2023 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup
The 2023 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup was the sixth edition of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup. There are 80 games being played in 2023, with half in the qualification draw and the other half in the main draw. The men and women's champions will win a spot at one of the qualifying tournaments for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
