Club Atlético Independiente (sometimes referred as Independiente de Cañete) is a Peruvian football (soccer), football club, playing in the city of San Vicente de Cañete, Cañete, Lima, Peru. History The Club Atlético Independiente was founded on August 30, 1938. In 2004 Copa Perú, the club classified to the National Stage, but was eliminated by Inti Gas Deportes, Olímpico Somos Perú in the Round of 16. In 2006 Copa Perú, the club classified to the Departamental Stage, but was eliminated by Jesús del Valle in the Semifinals. In 2018 Copa Perú, the club classified to the Departamental Stage, but was eliminated by Defensor Laure Sur in the Quarterfinals. Club Defensor Laure Sur (sometimes referred as Defensor Laure Sur) is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Chancay, Lima, Peru. History The Club Defensor Laure Sur was founded on October 24, 1960. In the 2015 Copa Perú, the club classified to the National Stage, but was eliminated when finished in 45th place. The Peruvian football league system is a complex system. Though the general outline includes the Liga 1, Liga 2 and Copa Perú. The Copa Perú is very large involving several stages and leagues within it. In addition, the Copa Perú is played within a year. Club Deportivo Walter Ormeño (sometimes referred as Walter Ormeño de Cañete) is a Peruvian football (soccer), football club, playing in the city of San Vicente de Cañete, Cañete, Lima, Peru. History The Club Deportivo Walter Ormeño was founded on October 10, 1950. It was named Club Walter Ormeño, in honor of Walter Ormeño, the goalkeeper from Universitario de Deportes, because most of the founders were supporters of the team. It originally played in the San Vicente District League in the beginning but it move to the Imperial District League where it would see much of its early success. The team would win the 1970 Lima Department League. In 1974, The Peruvian Football Federation would promote all eight regional Copa Peru champions to the 1974 Torneo Descentralizado. 2018 Copa Perú
The 2018 Peru Cup season ( es, Copa Perú 2018), the largest amateur tournament of Peruvian football, started in February. This edition has featured a change, with the elimination of the Regional Stage and the inclusion of participants from all the Regions of Peru in the National Stage. Under the new format, the tournament has four stages. The first three stages are played as mini-league round-robin tournaments, and the fourth stage is played under POT System intellectual property of the MatchVision company. San Vicente De Cañete
San Vicente de Cañete, commonly known as San Vicente or Cañete, is a city and capital of the Cañete Province, in southern Lima Region. With a population of 85,533 (2015 estimate). The warm and peaceful town of Cañete is located just one and a half hour to the south of Lima (144 km) and serves, for tourists, primarily as a gateway to the Lunahuaná, Lunahuaná District. Inti Gas Deportes
Ayacucho Fútbol Club is a Peruvian football club located in Ayacucho, Peru. Some of its former names are Aurora Miraflores, Olímpico San Luis, Olímpico Somos Peru, Olímpico Aurora Miraflores, Loreto and Inti Gas. As Olímpico Somos Peru, the club won a Second Division title in 2006, and as Inti Gas, the club finished as runner-up in 2008. History Olímpico Olímpico San Luis was promoted to the Second Division in 2000. The following year they changed the club name to Olímpico Somos Peru. In 2004 they won the Second Division and played in the finals of the Copa Perú to gain promotion, however they lost to Deportivo Municipal in the quarter-finals.
