The Burial are an American Christian metalcore/melodic death metal band. Members are from South Bend, Indiana, Benton Harbor, Michigan and Champaign, Illinois. The band started making music in 2005. The band now consists of lead vocalist and guitarist, Elisha Mullins, lead guitarist, Todd Hatfield, drummer, Kaleb Luebchow, and bass guitarist, Alex Poole. The band released one EP, ''Age of Deceit'', in 2009 with Sancrosanct Records. They signed with Strike First Records, where they released, ''The Winepress'', a studio album, in 2010. Melodic Death Metal
Melodic death metal (also referred to as melodeath) is a subgenre of death metal that employs highly melodic guitar riffs, often borrowing from traditional heavy metal (including New Wave of British Heavy Metal). Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Technical Death Metal
Technical death metal (also referred to as tech-death) is a musical subgenre of death metal that began and developed in the early- to mid-1990s, with particular focus on challenging, demanding instrumental skill and complex songwriting.
