''In the Court of the Dragon'' is the tenth studio album by American heavy metal band Trivium. It was released on October 8, 2021, through Roadrunner Records and was produced by Josh Wilbur. Background and promotion In June 2020, guitarist Corey Beaulieu revealed the band is already working on the follow-up to ''What the Dead Men Say'' while being in COVID-19 pandemic quarantine, saying the material they've been working on sounds "really pissed-off." On July 7, 2021, the band teased that they are planning to release new music on Friday, July 9, with a 2-minute video trailer hinting at some potentially new music. Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' ''Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Alex Bent (born January 31, 1993) is an American musician best known as the drummer for heavy metal bands Trivium, Arkaik and Dragonlord. Bent is a former drummer for Battlecross and Brain Drill. Bent has also toured with Decrepit Birth and Testament. Early life Bent was born January 31, 1993, in Oakland, California. When Bent turned 11 years of age, he asked his father to assemble his old drum kit. After teaching himself how to perform percussion for just over one year, he competed in drum competitions and auditioned for various musical ensembles. Paolo Francesco Gregoletto (born September 14, 1985) is an American musician and songwriter who is best known as the bassist of the heavy metal band Trivium. Music career Trivium Gregoletto joined Trivium on September 5, 2004 when Matt Heafy, Corey Beaulieu and Travis Smith were in the studio demoing new material for what would become '' Ascendancy''. Gregoletto was in the studio with Jason Suecof next to where Trivium were demoing, and was told by Suecof that they needed a bass player. After jamming with other members, Gregoletto agreed to record for ''Ascendancy'' and tour to promote it with the band. Matthew Kiichi Heafy (born January 26, 1986) is an American musician, best known as the guitarist and lead vocalist for heavy metal band Trivium. He was also the lead vocalist for the band Capharnaum, along with Trivium's former producer Jason Suecof. In 2017, Heafy was voted sixth on the Ultimate Guitar list "Top 25 Greatest Modern Frontmen".
