"In My Head" is a song by American singer Jason Derulo, released as the second single from his self-titled debut studio album. It was first released via download on December 10, 2009. The song topped the charts of Australia, Poland, and the United Kingdom and peaked within the top 10 of the charts in several other countries. The song's official remix has a heavier R&B sound and features rapper Nicki Minaj. Derulo performed the song on the ninth season of ''American Idol''. Background Derulo has explained that "In My Head" was chosen to be released as the second single from the album to show the other side of his debut album. The song is electro-influenced and has a heavier rock feel than the R&B and electronica-influenced " Whatcha Say". He mentioned that the album displays both sides, so "In My Head" was released to introduce his fans to the electronic side of the record. The Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI) is an umbrella organization that keeps track of virtually all aspects of the music recording industry in Italy. It was established in 1992, when major corporate labels left the previously existing Associazione dei Fonografici Italiani (AFI). The Wideboys are an English electronic music duo known for club remixes and for their own song "Sambuca", featuring Dennis G on vocals, which reached number 15 in the UK in October 2001. Another top 40 single, "Daddy-O" featuring Shaznay Lewis, reached No. 32 in 2008. The Wideboys compose and release many of their own productions, especially favouring the 12-inch vinyl format for club DJs. The Irish Singles Chart is the Republic of Ireland's music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and compiled on their behalf by the Official Charts Company. This is a list of highest-certified singles in Australia according to the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). Since 1983, ARIA certifies a single Platinum for shipment of 70,000 copies across Australia. Single figures can include "qualifying streams" since July 2015. Since March 2022 this also includes Official Content streams on YouTube. According to the ARIA rules, a "single" is a product that may include up to five songs, thus including various EPs, which are also listed here.
