Impulse (1990 Film)
''Impulse'' is a 1990 American neo-noir film directed by Sondra Locke, and starring Theresa Russell, Jeff Fahey, and George Dzundza. It follows a female police officer who works as an undercover prostitute in Los Angeles, who unwittingly finds herself at the center of a murder investigation. The film also features a power ballad by singer Kim Carnes called "Everybody Needs Someone". Plot LAPD officer Lottie Mason works vice squad as a decoy prostitute. She is faced with various problems in her career, including being sexually harassed by her superior, Lieutenant Joe Morgan. However, she finds her sting operations thrilling, often fantasizing about "losing control." Stan Harris, a detective in the department, begins to romance Lottie. The two eventually go on a date together and become intimate. Sondra Locke
Sandra Louise Anderson (née Smith; May 28, 1944 – November 3, 2018), professionally known as Sondra Locke, was an American actress and director. An alumna of Middle Tennessee State University, Locke broke into regional show business with assorted posts at the Nashville-based radio station WSM-AM, then segued into television as a promotions assistant for WSM-TV. She performed in the theater company Circle Players Inc. while employed at WSM. Vice Squad
Vice Squad are an English punk rock band formed in 1979 in Bristol. The band was formed from two other local punk bands, The Contingent and TV Brakes. The songwriter and vocalist Beki Bondage (born Rebecca Bond) was a founding member of the band. Although there was a period of time when the band had a different vocalist, she reformed the band in 1997. Since 2008, the band have been releasing records on their own label Last Rockers. History Original band Vice Squad was formed in 1979 in Bristol. The initial line-up of Beki Bondage (vocals), Dave Bateman (guitar), Mark Hambly (bass guitar) and Shane Baldwin (drums), and played its first gig at Bristol University's Anson Rooms on 12 April 1979. Cherlynne Theresa Thigpen (December 22, 1948 – March 12, 2003) was an American actress of stage and screen. She was known for her role as the Chief of ACME Crimenet in the game show '' Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?'' and various spinoffs, and for her role as "Luna" (The Moon) in the Playhouse Disney children's series '' Bear in the Big Blue House''.
