The Impero is a stream of Liguria (Italy). Geography The Impero rises near Monte Grande, crosses the comunes of Aurigo, Borgomaro, Lucinasco, Chiusavecchia, Chiusanico and Pontedassio, giving its name to its valley, and ends in the Ligurian Sea in Oneglia ( IM). Impero basin (95 km2) is totally included in the Province of Imperia and also encompasses the communes of Cesio and Caravonica. Italian Battleship Impero
''Impero'' was the fourth built for Italy's ''Regia Marina'' (Royal Navy) during the Second World War. She was named after the Italian word for "empire", in this case referring to the newly (1936) conquered Italian Empire in East Africa (Somaliland, Eritrea and Ethiopia territories) as a result of the Second Italo-Abyssinian War. She was constructed under the order of the 1938 Naval Expansion Program, along with her sister ship ''Roma''. ''Impero'' was laid down in May 1938 and launched in November 1939. The entrance of Italy into World War II forced the ''Regia Marina'' to refocus its construction priorities on escort warships, so ''Impero'' was left incomplete. Cinema Impero
The Cinema Impero ( "Empire Cinema") is an Art Deco-style cinema in Asmara, the capital of Eritrea. It was built in 1937 by the colonial authorities in Italian Eritrea. History ''Cinema Impero'' was the largest movie theater constructed in Asmara during the last period of the Italian colony of Eritrea. It was named after the conquest of Ethiopia by Benito Mussolini and his proclamation of the Italian Empire. The building still houses a cinema today, and it is considered by the experts one of the world's finest examples of Art Déco style building. Imperial Line
The Imperial Line (Italian ''Linea dell'Impero'' or ''Linea Imperiale'') was a flight route of the Italian national airline Ala Littoria between 1935 and 1941 during the Fascist era. It was the longest route in the Italian colonial empire in Africa and "the jewel in Ala Littoria's crown".Caprotti, "Imagining Ethiopia", pp. 388–90.
