''Il raccomandato di ferro'' is a 1959 Italian comedy film directed by Marcello Baldi and starring Mario Riva. It grossed 89,3 million lire at the Italian box office. Plot Augusto Zinconi is a former Roman usher who found employment in an oil industry in Mestre thanks to a false letter of recommendation from Undersecretary Goffredo Monaci. Laggard and libertine, after bribing the doorkeeper of the plant to get his card stamped in his absence, he manages to escape dismissal by claiming to be a longtime friend of the undersecretary, who has meanwhile become a powerful minister, the only person who could save the industry from bankruptcy. He was then sent to Rome to have the important file signed by the minister; helped by luck, he manages to obtain the document, already signed previously, without meeting Monaci. Marcello Baldi
Marcello Baldi (1 August 1923 – 22 July 2008) was an Italian director and a screenwriter. Life and career Born in Telve, Telve Valsugana, from 1940 to 1954 Baldi worked as assistant director for, among others, Alessandro Blasetti, Lionello De Felice, Pietro Germi and Romolo Marcellini. In 1955 he was chosen by Club Alpino Italiano, CAI to direct the Documentary film, documentary ''Italia K2'', centered upon the conquest of K2 by the Italian expedition led by Ardito Desio. He later filmed about one hundred of documentaries and more than thirty films. His last film, ''Ciso'', was directed in conjunction with his son Dario Baldi, Dario, and won the 2008 Edition of the :it:Festival Internazionale del Cinema di Salerno, Festival Internazionale del Cinema di Salerno. Alberto Rabagliati (27 June 1906 in Milan – 8 March 1974 in Rome) was an Italian singer. Early career Alberto Rabagliati was born in Milan in 1906 and was the son of piedmontese spouses: his father Leandro Valentino Rabagliati and his mother Delfina Besso were both natives of Casorzo, a common on the hills of the Montferrat in the Province of Asti (Italy). In 1927, he moved to Hollywood as the winner of a Rudolph Valentino look-alike contest.
