''Il ladrone'' (internationally released as ''The Good Thief'' and ''The Thief'') is a 1980 Italian comedy film written and directed by Pasquale Festa Campanile. For his performance in this film and in '' Aragosta a colazione'', Enrico Montesano was awarded with a Special David di Donatello. Plot In Palestine, the thief Caleb deceives his victims with fake miracles, and the man gets very upset when he learns that a young man by the name of Christ, the Messiah, performs real miracles, healing people and raising the dead. Caleb is jailed by the Romans. He will die along with the Messiah. Pasquale Festa Campanile
Pasquale Festa Campanile (28 July 1927 – 25 February 1986) was an Italian screenwriter, film director and novelist, best known as a prominent exponent of the commedia all'italiana genre. Life and career Born at Melfi, in the province of Potenza, he moved to Rome at young age. He started as a writer and literary critic. ''La nonna Sabella'', one of his novels, was later adapted by Dino Risi into the movie of the same name, internationally known as ''Oh! Sabella'' (1957). He began his cinema career as a screenwriter with ''Faddija – La legge della vendetta'' (1949) by Roberto Bianchi Montero and later co-produced masterpieces of Italian cinema such as ''Poveri ma belli'' (1957) by Risi and ''Rocco and His Brothers'' (1960) and ''The Leopard (1963 film), The Leopard'' (1963) by Luchino Visconti. Bernadette Lafont (28 October 1938 – 25 July 2013) was a French actress who appeared in more than 120 feature films. She has been considered "the face of French New Wave". Susanna Martinková
Zuzana "Susanna" Martinková (born 19 April 1946) is a Czech actress, mainly active in Italy. Born in Prague, Martinkova debuted at 16 as lead actress in ''Letos v zari'' (1963). After several film and stage appearances, in 1967 she moved to Italy to star in a war film directed by Carlo Lizzani, ''Sagapò'', which eventually was cancelled.
