''If Looks Could Kill I'd Watch You Die'' is the first release by American hardcore punk band Death by Stereo, released in 1999 via Indecision Records. It is highly acclaimed in the hardcore community for its originality and raw sound, tight drumming, lightning fast guitars and tempo changes. The album is centred on the drums, much more so than their other releases. The introductory track is a sound-bite from the film ''The Lost Boys'', of which the band's name is also derived. Death By Stereo
Death by Stereo (also referred to as D.B.S.) is an American hardcore punk band formed in Orange County, California circa 1998 by frontman Efrem Schulz. They are well known for their energetic performances and intricate guitar work. Their name can be attributed to the 1987 horror film ''The Lost Boys,'' in which Corey Haim speaks the line. Death by Stereo has released seven full-length studio albums and one live album. Their most recent studio album, ''We're All Dying Just in Time'', was released in 2020. Indecision Records is an independent American hardcore punk record label, which was started by punk photographer and fanzine editor Dave Mandel in 1992 as an offshoot of his fanzine, ''Indecision''. ''Day of the Death'' is the second album by American hardcore punk band Death by Stereo, released in 2001. The band became more widely known after this release due to their switch from the Indecision Records label to the larger Epitaph Records label. This is the group's first album on Epitaph Records. Track listing "Death for Life" is actually only 3:00 long, but includes five minutes of silence (3:00–8:00) and a hidden track begins: there is a section right near the end which is the sound of a gong and a manic scream. The Lost Boys
''The Lost Boys'' is a 1987 American supernatural black comedy horror film directed by Joel Schumacher, produced by Harvey Bernhard with a screenplay written by Jeffrey Boam, Janice Fischer and James Jeremias, from a story by Fischer and Jeremias. Efrem Schulz
Efrem "The Bean" Schulz (born December 16, 1974) is an American punk rock singer of Mexican descent, best known for his work with Death by Stereo. As of Paul Miner's departure in 2005, he is the only remaining original member of the band. He also took over as lead singer of Voodoo Glow Skulls following the departure of "Frank Voodoo" Casillas, and is the frontman for the Chicano-themed punk parody band Manic Hispanic. He was previously in a band called ''Clint'' (named so because of a friend named Clint), who released two demos, a 7 Inch, and a full-length disc. Prior bands to Clint include ''Blue Bottle'' and ''Hard As Mother Nature''. The full-length was released by the owner of Bionic Records, Dennis Smith, and Paul Miner, who later went on to become the bass player for Death by Stereo. Paul Miner
Paul Miner (born December 4, 1976) is the bassist for Death by Stereo, who left the band early 2005 (right before the band's fourth album '' Death for Life''), to produce, engineer, master, and mix music full-time. Previously he produced and engineered the first three Death by Stereo records, which is probably why the band's fourth album ''Death for Life'', was a noticeable departure from their regular sound. Paul was also in a band called Kill The Messenger, which was also signed to Indecision Records. Paul is the brother of Jim Miner, the original guitarist, who left the band during the recording of Death by Stereo's third album ''Into the Valley of Death''. Paul and his brother Jim recently reunited with Death by Stereo in 2006 to record their upcoming fifth studio album, entitled '' Death Is My Only Friend'', which is due for release in 2009. Jarrod Alexander
Jarrod Fletcher Alexander (born August 13, 1981) is an American musician who has played with many hardcore punk bands. Alexander has been the drummer for the bands The Suicide File, A Static Lullaby, Dead Country, and more recently, My Chemical Romance, Alkaline Trio, Matt Skiba, Meg Myers, and Necessary Noise. Early life Alexander started playing the drums in his early teens. Alexander went to the prestigious Berklee College of Music and graduated in 2003. Ian Fowles is an American musician, author, and actor, best known as the current guitarist for the Orange County rock band The Aquabats, in which he performs under the stage name and persona of EagleBones Falconhawk (originally Eagle "Bones" Falconhawk). Prior to joining The Aquabats, Fowles was also one of the founding members of the hardcore punk band Death by Stereo. Death is the irreversible cessation of all biological functions that sustain an organism. For organisms with a brain, death can also be defined as the irreversible cessation of functioning of the whole brain, including brainstem, and brain death is sometimes used as a legal definition of death.
