Idaho House Of Representatives
The Idaho House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the Idaho Legislature. It consists of 70 representatives elected to two-year terms. The state is divided into 35 districts, each of which elects two representatives to separate seats. It meets at the Idaho State Capitol in Boise, Idaho, in the State Capitol Building. Composition of the House The Idaho House of Representatives has been continuously controlled by the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party since the late 1950s, usually by a wide margin. Democrats picked up six seats in the 2006 elections. In the 2010 United States House of Representatives elections in Idaho, 2010 elections Republicans won back many of those seats, gaining five. The Idaho Legislature is the legislative branch of the government of the 43rd State of Idaho and is bicameral, consisting of the upper chamber of the Idaho Senate and the lower chamber of the Idaho House of Representatives. Ned Burns is an American businessman and politician serving as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from the 26th district. He was appointed to the seat on December 23, 2021, succeeding Marianna Davis. Early life and education Burns was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. Lauren Necochea
Lauren Necochea (née Smith) is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, she has served in the Idaho House of Representatives since 2019. She represents the 19th district, which includes a portion of Boise, the state capital. Since 2022, she has served as chair of the Idaho Democratic Party. Early life and education Necochea was born Lauren Bentley Smith in Boise, Idaho to Dr. Michael Smith and Susan Smith. Her father is a dentist and her mother founded the Idaho Women's Charitable Foundation. Sage Dixon is a former Republican Idaho State Representative, representing District 1 in the B seat from 2014 to 2024.
