''There Goes the Bride'' is a 1932 British comedy film directed by Albert de Courville and starring Jessie Matthews, Owen Nares, Carol Goodner, Basil Radford and Roland Culver. The screenplay concerns a woman who breaks off her an engagement and escapes to Paris. It is a remake of the German film '' Mary's Start in die Ehe'', also known as '' Ich bleib' bei dir'' (1931). David Niven makes his film debut in a tiny uncredited role. It was shot at Beaconsfield Studios. The film's sets were designed by the art director Norman Arnold. ''There Goes the Bride'' was released on Region 2 DVD in 2009. Martha Ziegler (; 20 March 1899 – 2 December 1957) was a German actress. Life Martha Ziegler was born in the German Empire in Darmstadt on March 20, 1899. After completing her high school education, she attended drama school in Frankfurt, and then found acting work in a series of roles over the years at Berlin's Schiller Theater and in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Frankfurt am Main. In 1928, she was awarded legal protection against the Landestheater Darmstadt. By the time she was in her early 30s, she was steadily employed in Germany's movie business, making an average of three to four films per year. In 1930, she appeared in ''Abschied'', the first sound film produced by UFA (Universum Film). Hansi Arnstaedt (8 December 1878 – 8 May 1945) was a German film actress. Her role subject was that of the frisky and naive, later she was seen in character roles. In 1913, she was given the role of the title character in Franz Porten's three-part film biography about Queen Luise. After that, she did not appear in films again until 1930. Mostly she was now a supporting actress, sometimes, as in 1940 in Lauter Liebe as the mother of Hertha Feiler, she took on larger roles.
