Iarfhlaith Davoren
Iarfhlaith Davoren (born 12 May 1986) is an Irish former professional football player. He played as a left back or left winger. Davoren is a native of Tullamore, County Offaly. Youth Davoren began his playing career with Tullamore Town before attracting attention from Belvedere in the Dublin District Schoolboys League (DDSL). Travelling to Dublin and school became problematic so Davoren moved to Willow Park Boys F.C. in the Athlone and District School boys league. The schoolboy club is noted for producing players for Athlone Town and Davoren became another name on the list when he signed at St. Mel's Park, making his first team debut against Dundalk in July 2004, at the age of 17. Ballinasloe
Ballinasloe ( ; ) is a town in the easternmost part of County Galway in Connacht. Located at an ancient crossing point on the River Suck, evidence of ancient settlement in the area includes a number of Bronze Age sites. Built around a 12th-century castle, which defended the fording point, the modern town of Ballinasloe was "founded" in the early 13th century. As of the 2016 census, it was one of the largest towns in County Galway, with a population of 6,662 people. The 2011 Ford FAI Cup Final was the 88th final of the FAI Cup, the oldest domestic football competition in Ireland. The match took place on 6 November 2011 at Aviva Stadium in Dublin for the second consecutive year. The two clubs contesting the 2011 final were Premier Division side, Sligo Rovers and First Division side, Shelbourne, with the victors guaranteeing a berth in the UEFA Europa League. It is contested by League of Ireland clubs and invited clubs from the lower levels of the Republic of Ireland football league system. It has been sponsored by Electronic Arts and branded the EA Sports Cup since 2009. The competition began in 1973–74, replacing the League of Ireland Shield and the Dublin City Cup. The Showgrounds, Sligo Town
The Showgrounds is a stadium in Sligo, which has been home of Sligo Rovers since Rovers were formed in 1928. Overview The Showgrounds was leased until 1968 when it was then purchased for Sligo Rovers by a trust foundation representing the people of Sligo. Under the terms of the purchase it can never be mortgaged, sold or used for any commercial purposes other than sport and leisure. The Showgrounds is a 12 acre (49,000 m²) site with the stadium capacity of 3,873 seats. On 8 November 1978 Sligo opened their new covered accommodation on the Jinks Avenue in a FAI League Cup semi final against Shamrock Rovers.
