I Due Toreri
''I due toreri'' ( es, Dos toreros de aúpa) is a 1965 Italian-Spanish comedy film directed by Giorgio Simonelli starring the comic duo Franco and Ciccio. Plot In Sicily Franco and Ciccio are empowered by a local mafia man to guard for a wide range of salad. In reality however this is not simple salad vegetables but marijuana; the two bungling fools and friends do not realize it at first. Indeed, seeing that with this delicious salad could make us profits, steal it and are discovered by the police. The policemen, discovering the marijuana, would stop Franco and Ciccio which however manage admirably to escape and to embark for Spain. There are exchanged for two famous bullfighters and sent to compete with ferocious bulls in bullfights. Giorgio Simonelli (14 November 1901 Birth name: Giorgio Simonelli. – 3 October 1966), was an Italian film director, editor, screenwriter and journalist. Life and career Born in Rome, Simonelli obtained a high school diploma in business studies, then he started working as a journalist, and even as a film critic, for the weekly magazines ''Avvenimento'' and ''Gente nostra''. In 1928, at 22, he made his directorial debut co-directing with Nicola Fausto Neroni ''Maratona'' and two years later he was among the screenwriters of the first Italian talking film, ''The Song of Love (1930 film), The Song of Love'' by Gennaro Righelli. Silvia Solar (20 March 19369 May 2011) was a French actress and prolific minor star in Spanish cinema. The majority of her appearances were in the 1960s and 1970s. Early life Solar was born Geneviève Couzain in Paris. Career Couzain won the title of "Miss France" at age 16. Shortly thereafter producer and director Henri Diamant-Berger cast Solar in her first film role. Her career spanned from the late 1950s through the early 1990s, starring in dozens of comedies, romances, drama, crime and spy thrillers as well as horror films. She played a main role in the Italian horror film ''Eyeball'' in 1975. That same year, she appeared alongside Paul Naschy in '' Night of the Howling Beast''. Early life Vincenzo "Enzo" Fiermonte was born on 17 July 1908 in Casamassima, a rural village near Bari, in southern Italy to Donato and Lucrezia Fiermonte. Nino Terzo (22 May 1923 – 8 May 2005) was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Palermo as Antonino Terzo, he worked intensively in the avanspettacolo and revue theater, entering the stage companies of Totò, Peppino De Filippo, Franco and Ciccio, Domenico Modugno, among others. Terzo was also active as a singer, appearing in several operettas. Terzo made his film debut in 1962, and he soon established himself as one of the most active character actors in the Italian comedy cinema, usually playing, with small variations, the character that made him famous in avanspettacolo, i.e. a man with extremely slow reflexes and a huge speech impediment, which does not allow him to speak before he loudly inhaled and exhaled.
