I Want You (Roxette Song)
"I Want You" is a song written and performed by Swedish recording artists Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle (Roxette), Mauro Scocco and Johan Ekelund ( Ratata) and solo artist Eva Dahlgren, and was co-written and produced by Anders Glenmark. It was recorded in June 1987, immediately prior to the commencement of "Rock Runt Riket" ("Rock Around the Kingdom"), a 15-date joint tour of Sweden. It was performed by all three acts together as an encore during every date of the tour. The single was limited to just 750 copies on 7" vinyl, which were exclusively sold at the venue on the night of each concert date. The song has never been included on a studio or compilation album released by any of the artists involved, and is considered the rarest release ever issued by Roxette. Eva Dahlgren
Eva Charlotte Dahlgren (; born 9 June 1960) is a Swedish pop musician and singer-songwriter. Career Dahlgren was discovered by musician/producer Bruno Glenmark in 1978 after appearing on the TV show ''Sveriges magasin'' and her debut album ''Finns det nån som bryr sej om'' was released the same year. In 1979 she placed third in Melodifestivalen (the tryout competition for the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden). She toured Sweden in 1987 with Swedish pop duo Roxette, a tour that was attended by more than 100,000 people. Dahlgren's career grew steadily with several album releases during the 1980s but her definite breakthrough in Sweden came in 1991 with '' En blekt blondins hjärta'', her most successful album, which sold over half a million copies and won her five Grammis awards. Roxette Songs
Roxette was a Swedish pop rock duo, consisting of Marie Fredriksson (vocals and keyboards) and Per Gessle (vocals and guitar). Formed in 1986, the duo became an international act in the late 1980s, when they released their breakthrough second album '' Look Sharp!'' Henrik Janson (born 11 March 1961) is a Swedish music arranger, guitarist, record producer and songwriter. Founding a band at thirteen, in 1974, Janson today works with both domestic and international artists. Career Early years Janson was born and raised in Hammarö, in the province of Värmland, Sweden. At the age of nine, he began taking cello lessons while three years later starting to learn how to play the guitar, today his main instrument.
