I Need To Know (Tom Petty Song)
"I Need to Know" is a song written by Tom Petty and recorded by American rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. It was released in 1978 as the first single from their second album ''You're Gonna Get It!''. It peaked at #41 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 singles chart in 1978. This song as well as "Listen to Her Heart" was already being played live in concert as early as June 14, 1977, as is evidenced in a performance on Germany's music television show "Rockpalast". ''Cash Box'' said that it is "hard driving rock 'n' roll" and that "the hook repeats hypnotically as the guitars drive the message home." ''Record World'' called it an "energetic rocker." Other versions Stevie Nicks (of Fleetwood Mac) has been performing "I Need to Know" live in her solo concerts since 1981. Nicks also performed this song with Tom Petty together on Petty's 30th anniversary concert (which was filmed and released on DVD as ''Runnin' Down a Dream''). In 1981 the Swedish band Gyllene Tider recorded a ...

Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were an American rock band from Gainesville, Florida. Formed in 1976, the band originally comprised lead singer and rhythm guitarist Tom Petty, lead guitarist Mike Campbell, keyboardist Benmont Tench, drummer Stan Lynch and bassist Ron Blair. In 1982, Blair, weary of the touring lifestyle, departed the band. His replacement, Howie Epstein, stayed with the band for the next two decades. In 1991, Scott Thurston joined the band as a multi-instrumentalist—mostly on rhythm guitar and second keyboard. In 1994, Steve Ferrone replaced Lynch on drums. Blair returned to the Heartbreakers in 2002, the year before Epstein's death. The band had a long string of hit singles including "Breakdown", " American Girl", "Refugee", " The Waiting", " Learning to Fly", and "Mary Jane's Last Dance", among many others, that stretched over several decades of work. The band's music was characterized as both Southern rock and heartland rock, cited alongside artists such ...

Gyllene Tider
Gyllene Tider (; "Golden Times") was a Swedish pop group fronted by Roxette singer, guitarist and songwriter Per Gessle. They were one of the best-selling Swedish bands ever and have had numerous hits in Scandinavia, starting with the break-through song "Flickorna på TV2" in 1980. The band earned legendary status in Sweden based on their power pop, catchy choruses and lyrics about life in a small town. History In 1977, Per Gessle met Mats Persson, a member of the band Audiovisuellt Angrepp, forming the duo "Grape Rock". Later Micke Syd Andersson, Anders Herrlin and Göran Fritzon joined and the quintet was born. The group's name was changed to "Gyllene Tider", alluding to Mott the Hoople's song " The Golden Age of Rock 'n' Roll". In 1980, the LP ''Gyllene Tider'' was released, becoming a huge success in Sweden. "Flickorna på TV2" ("The girls on TV2") was the album's biggest hit. The second album, released in 1981 under the name '' Moderna Tider'' (''Modern Times''), also e ...

Hour Of The Wolf
''Hour of the Wolf'' ( sv, Vargtimmen, lit=The Wolf Hour) is a 1968 Swedish psychological horror film directed by Ingmar Bergman and starring Max von Sydow and Liv Ullmann. The story explores the disappearance of fictional painter Johan Borg (von Sydow), who lived on an island with his wife Alma (Ullmann) while plagued with frightening visions and insomnia. Bergman originally conceived much of the story as part of an unproduced screenplay, ''The Cannibals'', which he abandoned to make the 1966 film ''Persona''. He took inspiration from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 1791 opera ''The Magic Flute'' and E. T. A. Hoffmann's 1814 novella ''The Golden Pot'', as well as some of his own nightmares. Principal photography took place at Hovs Hallar, Stockholm and Fårö. Themes include insanity, particularly as experienced by an artist, sexuality, and relationships, conveyed in a surreal style and with elements of folklore. Analysts have found allusions to vampire and werewolf legend. Autho ...
