I Love The New Millennium
''I Love the New Millennium'' is a mini-series and the tenth installment of the '' I Love the...'' series focusing on the 2000s and premiered on VH1 Monday, June 23, 2008. Each night, from Monday to Thursday, two of the eight episodes premiered, corresponding to the years from 2000 to 2007. As the series aired in 2008, it did not include episodes for the years 2008 or 2009. A second series about 2000s nostalgia called ''I Love the 2000s'' was made in 2014, including episodes for the years 2008 and 2009. Tommy Chong
Thomas B. Kin Chong (born May 24, 1938) is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, musician, activist. He is known for his marijuana-themed Cheech & Chong comedy albums and movies with Cheech Marin, as well as playing the character Leo on Fox's ''That '70s Show''. James Lynch (musician)
James Patrick Lynch (born July 29, 1979) is an American musician. He is a guitarist and a vocalist of the Boston Celtic punk group Dropkick Murphys. Lynch joined the band in 2000 to record the album '' Sing Loud, Sing Proud''. He was previously a member of the Boston-based bands The Ducky Boys and The Pinkerton Thugs. When Marc Orrell left the band in 2008, Lynch was asked to move up to lead guitar, but declined because he enjoyed his position in the band where he only played one instrument. Instead Tim Brennan was moved up to lead guitar and Jeff DaRosa was brought on to play banjo and mandolin. Lynch also played in the band Gimmie Danger along with Marc Orrell, Tim Brennan, and Ben Karnavas. Gear Lynch plays a black early 80s Gibson Les Paul Standard and a black 1981 Les Paul Custom as both his primary and backup guitars for live performances and studio recordings. Dropkick Murphys
Dropkick Murphys are an American Celtic punk band formed in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1996. Singer and bassist Ken Casey has been the band's only constant member. Other current members include drummer Matt Kelly (1997– ), singer Al Barr (1998– ), guitarist James Lynch (2000– ), multi-instrumentalist Tim Brennan (2003– ) and multi-instrumentalist Jeff DaRosa (2007– ). The band was initially signed to independent punk record label Hellcat Records, releasing five albums for the label, and building a reputation locally through constant touring and yearly St. Patrick's Day week shows, held in and around Boston. Simon Doonan (born 1952 He worked at Barneys until it closed in 2019. He writes a column on style for ''Slate''. In his book, ''Eccentric Glamour'', he decried porno chic in Western society in general. Interviewed for an article for the ''New York Daily News,'' he said, "There are two horribly worrying trends! Celebrities are becoming so gun-shy that there is no diversity, no sense of fun on the red carpet. There's no experimentation – which is incredibly important to fashion." Torry Castellano
Torrance Heather Castellano (born January 8, 1979) is an American percussionist and the former drummer of The Donnas. She announced her retirement from drumming in July 2010. About Castellano was born in San Francisco, California. She met future bandmates Maya Ford, Brett Anderson (The Donnas), Brett Anderson and Allison Robertson in junior high school. They formed a band in 8th grade called ''Ragady Anne'', later calling themselves ''The Electrocutes'' at Palo Alto High School. Before the release of The Donnas' sixth studio album ''Gold Medal (album), Gold Medal'', Castellano developed tendinitis, tendonitis and in October 2003, she had surgery for it. During her recovery, she had to take drum lessons to re-learn to hold drum sticks the correct way. Brett Anderson
Brett Lewis Anderson (born 29 September 1967) is an English singer best known as the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of the band Suede. Allison Rae Robertson (born August 26, 1979) is an American musician and the former guitarist for rock bands The Donnas and Chelsea Girls. Early life Allison Robertson was born on August 26, 1979, in North Hollywood, California. She comes from a musical family. Her father is musician Baxter Robertson who wrote the track "Feel The Night" on ''The Karate Kid'' soundtrack. The Donnas
The Donnas were an American rock band formed in Palo Alto, California, in 1993. The band consisted of Brett Anderson (lead vocals), Allison Robertson (guitar, backing vocals), Maya Ford (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Torry Castellano (drums, percussion, backing vocals). Amy Cesari replaced Castellano, who left the band in 2009 due to tendonitis. They drew inspiration from the Ramones, The Runaways, Girlschool, AC/DC, Bachman–Turner Overdrive and Kiss.
