I Love I Hate
"I Love I Hate" is a song by English singer and musician Neil Arthur, released in 1994 as the lead single from his debut solo studio album '' Suitcase'' (1994). It was written by Arthur and produced by Marius de Vries. It reached No. 50 in the UK and remained on the charts for two weeks. For the single's 12" format releases, remixes were created by the English electronic dance group the Grid, with others by Dom T. and Marius de Vries. A music video was filmed in Coney Island and New York City to promote the single. It was directed by Lindy Heymann. Critical reception Upon its release, ''Music & Media'' wrote, "The ex-frontman of Blancmange returns at almost the same point where he left seven years ago. His synth-flavoured new wave of the early '80s is spiced up with dance beats." Neil Arthur
Blancmange () are an English synth-pop band formed in Harrow, London, in 1979. The band were a duo for much of their career, composed of Neil Arthur (vocals) and Stephen Luscombe (keyboards). They came to prominence in the early 1980s, releasing four UK top-20 singles: " Living on the Ceiling", "Waves", " Blind Vision" and " Don't Tell Me". They released three studio albums during that decade: ''Happy Families'' (1982), ''Mange Tout'' (1984) and ''Believe You Me'' (1985). The duo amicably broke up in 1986 but reformed in the late 2000s, and in 2011 released their fourth studio album, ''Blanc Burn''. Luscombe left following the release due to ill health, and since then Arthur alone has continued to perform under the Blancmange name, releasing nine new studio albums along with a re-recording of the band's debut studio album, titled '' Happy Families Too...'' The Grid is an English electronic dance group, consisting of David Ball (formerly of Soft Cell) and Richard Norris, with guest contributions from other musicians. They are best known for the hits "Swamp Thing", "Texas Cowboys", "Crystal Clear", "Rollercoaster" and "Floatation". "Feel Me" is a song by the English synth-pop duo Blancmange, released on 23 July 1982 as the second single from their debut studio album '' Happy Families'' (1982). It was written by Neil Arthur and Stephen Luscombe, and produced by Mike Howlett. "Feel Me" reached No. 46 in the UK and remained on the charts for five weeks. Speaking to ''The Spill Magazine'' in 2018, Arthur recalled of the song's writing: "Stephen came in with a groove — my input was the words and the topline melody." ''New Musical Express'' (''NME'') is a British music, film, gaming, and culture website and brand.
