The film stars Lauren Velez, Jon Seda, Lisa Vidal, Griffin Dunne, Jesse Borrego and Rita Moreno, and was written and directed by Darnell Martin who, in her filmmaking debut, became the first African-American female filmmaker to take helm of a film produced by a major film studio. I Like It Like That (The Miracles Album)
''I Like It Like That'' is an album by Motown group the Miracles, compiled for the UK market and released on the UK Tamla-Motown label as one of its initial group of six albums in March 1965. There was no equivalent album to this in the USA. It is known as the Miracles' "forgotten album". This album featured a combination of several new songs along with previously issued material from the group's album from the year before, ''The Miracles Doin' Mickey's Monkey''. New songs included " I Like It Like That" (the Top 30 song, not the better-known Chris Kenner song of the same name), the Bobby Rogers-led flip side "You're So Fine and Sweet", "That's What Love Is Made Of" (another 1964 hit that the group performed on the American International Pictures release, the T.A.M.I. Show that year), and "Would I Love You", a song that became a popular regional hit tune for the group in Pennsylvania and The Midwest. The album also featured a Claudette Robinson-led cover version of the Orlons ...

I Like It Like That (Dave Clark Five Album)
''I Like It Like That '' is the seventh American album by the British band the Dave Clark Five. It was released on 15 November 1965 and was the follow-up to the successful top-ten single of the same name. The LP reached the ''Billboard'' and '' Cashbox'' charts. Overview The album combined rock songs ("I Need Love", "I Like It Like That") with catchy rhythmic ballads ("That's How Long Our Love Will Last", "I'll Be Your My Love") and mid-tempo rockers ("She's A Loving Girl", "You Know You're Lying"). The LP was produced by Dave Clark and all the songs were written by members of the band (with the exception of the hit "I Like It Like That" written by Chris Kenner and Allen Toussaint). Although no one from the band has officially confirmed it, it is widely believed that studio drummer Bobby Graham took part in the recording sessions. The song "I'm On My Own" was sung by guitarist Lenny Davidson instead of the band's lead singer Mike Smith. The photo on the album cover art came ...

I Like It Like That (The Miracles Song)
"I Like It Like That" was a 1964 hit song by Motown group The Miracles on its Tamla label subsidiary. This is not the Chris Kenner hit song of the same name but, rather, a Miracles original, written by Miracles members Smokey Robinson and Marv Tarplin, and is included on the group's first greatest hits album, ''Greatest Hits from the Beginning''. It was also the title song from their long-since deleted 1964 album of the same name. Background Like many of the Miracles' hit songs, "I Like It Like That" begins with Tarplin's guitar. It has a "live party" feel, similar to their earlier 1963 hit, "Mickey's Monkey". Rpbinson encourages everybody to "clap your hands now, everybody, we're gonna have some fun tonight...we're gonna sing and shout...knock ourselves out...and everything's gonna be alright". The other Miracles, Bobby, Ronnie, Pete and Claudette, join in with their trademark harmony vocals, with chants of "alright", and "I like it like that" as The Funk Brothers add addition ...

I Like It Like That (Pete Rodriguez Song)
"I Like It Like That" is a song written by Tony Pabon and Manny Rodriguez. Background Tony Pabon and Manny Rodriguez originally wrote "I Like It Like That" in 1967. Tony Pabon sang the vocals for the song, while the instrumentals were performed by Pete Rodriguez Orchestra. The recording was engineered by Fred Weinberg at National Recording Studios in New York City and produced by Roulette Records producer Morrie Pelsman, also known as Pancho Cristal, for Roulette Records. Part of the recording used many of the musician's kids chanting "Ahh Bibi!" which seemed to add to the excitement of the song. At the request of Pancho Cristal, Weinberg delivered a copy to Roulette Records' owner, Morris Levy. According to Weinberg, "Levy wanted the kids that were singing on the song removed as they sounded ...

The Angry Young Them
''The Angry Young Them'' is the first album by the Northern Irish rock and roll group Them. The album was released in the UK in June 1965. The band's lead singer and songwriter was Van Morrison. In the U.S., the album was released as ''Them'' with partly different tracks. Cover As with several Decca releases of the period, the name of the group was conspicuously absent from the front cover and on the back of the LP they were introduced as ''The Angry Young Them'' with an essay on this theme declaring: "These five young rebels are outrageously true to themselves. Defiant! Angry! Sad! They are honest to the point of insult!" Release history Six of the songs on the album were Morrison originals, including the famous garage band anthem "Gloria". Another song on the album, "Mystic Eyes", was a spontaneous creation that came out of the band just "busking around" in Morrison's words and after seven minutes of instrumental playing he impulsively threw in the words of a song he had b ...
