I Know I'm Not Wrong
"I Know I'm Not Wrong" is a song by Fleetwood Mac from the 1979 Tusk (album), double LP ''Tusk''. It was recorded as the final song of side three of the LP on 19 September 1979, written by Lindsey Buckingham, whose sparser songwriting arrangements and the influence of punk rock and New wave music, new wave were the leading creative force on it and other ''Tusk'' tracks. This was both the first and last song worked on for the ''Tusk'' album, and took almost a year to complete. Background While drummer Mick Fleetwood played drums on "I Know I'm Not Wrong", Buckingham recorded another drum part on Kleenex boxes. In the 1970s, conventional drums were often in the forefront of the mix, which was something that Buckingham wanted to move away from when recording the ''Tusk'' album. Fleetwood Mac
Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. Fleetwood Mac were founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer, before bassist John McVie joined the line-up for their eponymous debut album. Danny Kirwan joined as a third guitarist in 1968. Keyboardist and vocalist Christine Perfect, who contributed as a session musician from the second album, married McVie and joined in 1970, becoming known as Christine McVie. Primarily a British blues band at first, Fleetwood Mac achieved a UK number one with " Albatross", and had other hits such as the singles " Oh Well", " Man of the World", and "The Green Manalishi". Hi-hat
A hi-hat (hihat, high-hat, etc.) is a combination of two cymbals and a pedal, all mounted on a metal stand. It is a part of the standard drum kit used by drummers in many styles of music including rock, pop, jazz, and blues. Hi-hats consist of a matching pair of small to medium-sized cymbals mounted on a stand, with the two cymbals facing each other. The bottom cymbal is fixed and the top is mounted on a rod which moves the top cymbal toward the bottom one when the pedal is depressed (a hi-hat that is in this position is said to be "closed" or "closed hi-hats"). The hi-hat evolved from a "sock cymbal", a pair of similar cymbals mounted at ground level on a hinged, spring-loaded foot apparatus. Fleetwood Mac Songs
Fleetwood is a coastal town in the Borough of Wyre in Lancashire, England, at the northwest corner of the Fylde. It had a population of 25,939 at the 2011 census. Christine McVie
Christine Anne McVie (; née Perfect; 12 July 1943 – 30 November 2022) was an English musician and songwriter. She was best known as keyboardist and one of the vocalists of the band Fleetwood Mac. McVie was a member of several bands, notably Chicken Shack, in the mid-1960s British Blues scene. She began working with Fleetwood Mac in 1968, initially as a session player, before joining the band in 1970. Her first compositions with Fleetwood Mac appeared on their fifth album, '' Future Games''. She remained with the band through many changes of line-up, writing songs and performing lead vocals, before partially retiring in 1998. John McVie
John Graham McVie (born 26 November 1945) is a British bass guitarist. He is best known as a member of the rock bands John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers from 1964 to 1967 and Fleetwood Mac since 1967. His surname, combined with that of Mick Fleetwood, was the inspiration for the band's name. He joined Fleetwood Mac shortly after its formation by guitarist Peter Green in 1967, replacing temporary bass guitarist Bob Brunning. McVie and Fleetwood are the only two members of the group to appear on every Fleetwood Mac release, and for over fifty years have been the group's last remaining original members. On with the Show was a world tour by the rock group Fleetwood Mac. The tour began in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 30, 2014 and concluded in Auckland, New Zealand on November 22, 2015. Tickets were available for pre-sale between March 31 to April 6, before going on sale to the general public on April 7, 2014. At the end of 2014, the tour placed 13th on Pollstar's "Top 100 Worldwide Tours", earning $74.1 million from 40 shows in North America. The Tusk Tour was a world concert tour by the rock group, Fleetwood Mac. The tour began on October 26, 1979, in Pocatello, Idaho and ended on September 1, 1980, in Hollywood, California. The Live album contained many of the live recordings of songs from The Tusk Tour. History of the tour In 1979, Fleetwood Mac embarked on their 112 show-long world tour promoting their new album, '' Tusk''.
