John R. Cash (born J. R. Cash; February 26, 1932 – September 12, 2003) was an American country singer-songwriter. Much of Cash's music contained themes of sorrow, moral tribulation, and redemption, especially in the later stages of his career. Sun Records is an American independent record label founded by producer Sam Phillips in Memphis, Tennessee in February 1952. Charles Allan Rich (December 14, 1932July 25, 1995) was an American country music singer, songwriter, and musician. "Behind Closed Doors" is a country song written by Kenny O'Dell. It was first recorded by Charlie Rich for his 1973 album '' Behind Closed Doors''. The single was Rich's first number-one hit on the country charts, spent 20 weeks on this chart, and was also a crossover hit on the pop charts. It was certified Platinum by the RIAA for U.
