1Malaysia for Youth, usually stylised as iM4U, was an initiative of the former Malaysian government of Barisan Nasional (BN) led by Najib Razak. It was created to encourage the volunteerism among Malaysian youth. History The program launched in July 2012 and in January 2013 the first group of twenty iM4U ambassadors was announced. DRe1M In addition to encourage volunteering, 1M4U offers funds to any youth organisations through the Dana Sukarelawan 1Malaysia (DRe1M) initiative. The funds were disbursed according to the submitted proposal. IM4U Fm
Rakita (stylized as RAKITA) is a Malaysian radio station and operated by Radio Kita Sdn. Bhd. The radio was rebranded from the previously aired iM4U FM that ceased operation in 2018. History iM4U fm (2014-2018) iM4U fm was a Malaysian radio station launched by 1Malaysia for Youth (iM4U) and operated by Genmedia Sdn. Bhd. It began broadcasting on 15 September 2014 via its frequency 107.9 FM in Klang Valley. iM4U fm aired at the Kompleks Rakan Muda, Puchong, Selangor and played 70 percent Malay language songs and 30 percent English language songs. The station was targeted at Malaysian urban youth. The radio station announced on Twitter that they would cease broadcasting on 29 June 2018. In January 2019, the defunct iM4U FM was rebranded as Rakita. The National Front ( ms, Barisan Nasional; abbrev: BN) is a political coalition of Malaysia that was founded in 1973 as a coalition of centre-right and right-wing political parties. It is also the third largest political coalition with 30 seats in the Dewan Rakyat after coalition Pakatan Harapan with 82 seats and the coalition Perikatan Nasional with 73 seats. The Barisan Nasional coalition employs the same inter-communal governing model of its predecessor the Alliance Party but on a wider scale, with up to 14 communal political parties involved in the coalition at one point. Dato' Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak ( ms, محمد نجيب بن عبد الرزاق, label= Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset, ; born 23 July 1953) is a Malaysian politician who served as the 6th prime minister of Malaysia from April 2009 to May 2018. In 2020, he was convicted of corruption in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal, one of the largest money-laundering scandals in history. He is the son of former prime minister Abdul Razak Hussein. The New Straits Times
The ''New Straits Times'' is an English-language newspaper published in Malaysia. It is Malaysia's oldest newspaper still in print (though not the first), having been founded as ''The Straits Times'' on 15 July 1845. It was relaunched as the ''New Straits Times'' on 13 August 1974. The paper served as Malaysia's only broadsheet format English-language newspaper. However, following the example of British newspapers ''The Times'' and ''The Independent'', a tabloid version first rolled off the presses on 1 September 2004 and since 18 April 2005, the newspaper has been published only in tabloid size, ending a 160-year-old tradition of broadsheet publication.
