Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association National Championships
The Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) holds National Championships in seven different categories: * Coed Dinghy * Women’s Dinghy *Team Racing * Women's Team Racing * Men’s Singlehanded * Women’s Singlehanded *Match Racing (previously Sloop) The college team that compiles the best overall record in the six categories is awarded the Leonard M. Fowle Trophy. Teams must qualify for the National Championships through conference championships. All regattas are scored low-point with no throw-out races. Racing is done on short courses. Boats are usually rotated each race so that each team sails each boat in the fleet once. The ICSA National Championships rotate amongst ICSA's seven different conferences each year. Since college sailing is a fall and spring sport, three of these championships are held in the fall and three are held in the spring. Amanda Clark (born March 26, 1982) is an American sports sailor. She was born in Southampton, New York. In 2002, Clark won the ICSA Women’s Singlehanded National Championship in 2002. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, People's Republic of China in the women's 470. Anna Tunnicliffe
Anna Tunnicliffe Tobias (born October 17, 1982) is an American sailor and CrossFit competitor. In 2008 she won an Olympic gold medal in the Laser Radial single handed sailing class. In 2009 and 2011, she won the ISAF Sailing World Cup in Laser Radial. She also won the women's world championship of the snipe class in 2010, and placed second in 2008. She was named ICSA Women’s College Sailor of the Year in 2005, ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year in 2009 and 2011, and US Sailing’s Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year every year from 2008 to 2011. Tunnicliffe also competes at the highest level in CrossFit, most recently winning the 2018 CrossFit Games Masters 35–39, and competing in the individual open division at the CrossFit Games in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Annie Haeger
Anne Haeger (born February 5, 1990) is an American sailor who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics and joined the Canada SailGP Team as a Strategist in September 2023. Life Haeger was born in East Troy, Wisconsin in 1990. She started sailing when she was five and she went to Lake Forest High School. She joined as a sailing team with Briana Provancha. They both graduated from Boston College in Massachusetts together in 2012, where Haeger was named ICSA Women’s College Sailor of the Year in 2011. Annie was also named US Sailor of the Year in 2015.
