ICC Men's Emerging Cricketer Of The Year
The ICC Men's Emerging Cricketer of the Year is an annual award presented since 2004 by the International Cricket Council to the best young cricketer. It is one of the annual ICC Awards. Criteria Players eligible for this award must be under 26 years of age at the start of the voting period and have played no more than 5 Tests and/or 10 ODIs before that date, but can only win it one time. Selection The recipient of the annual award is selected by an "academy" of 56 individuals (expanded from 50 in 2004), including the current national team captains of the Test-playing nations (10), members of the elite panel of ICC umpires and referees (18), and certain prominent former players and cricket correspondents (28). In the event of a tie in the voting, the award is shared. The ICC Awards are an annual set of sports awards for international cricket, which recognise and honour the best international cricket players of the previous 12 months. The awards were introduced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2004. Between 2009 and 2014 the awards were known, for sponsorship reasons, as the LG ICC Awards. Gautam Gambhir
Gautam Gambhir (; born 14 October 1981) is an Indian politician and former cricketer, who has played all formats of the game. He is a current member of the Lok Sabha since 2019. He received the Padma Shri from the Government of India in 2019, the fourth highest civilian award in India. As a cricketer, he was a left-handed opening batsman who played domestic cricket for Delhi, and captained Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Bangladesh in 2003, and played his first Test the following year against Australia. He captained the Indian team in six ODIs from late 2010 to late 2011 with India winning all six matches. Ravinder Singh Bopara (born 4 May 1985) is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex County Cricket Club in one day cricket. Originally a top-order batsman, his developing medium pace bowling has made him a batting all rounder in the one day game. The 2007 ICC Awards were held on 10 September 2007 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Previous events were held in London (2004), Sydney (2005) and Mumbai (2006). Having been hosted since 2004, the ICC Awards were now into their fourth year. Shahriar Nafees Ahmed ( bn, শাহরিয়ার নাফীস আহমেদ; born: 1 May 1985) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer, who played all formats of the game, and was also a former T20I captain for Bangladesh.He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Bangladesh in 2005 against England, and later the same year played his first Test. Mohammad Asif (Urdu: , born 20 December 1982) is a Pakistani former cricketer who played for the Pakistani national cricket team between 2005 and 2010. Denesh Ramdin (born 13 March 1985) is a Trinidadian cricketer who played internationally for the West Indies. He is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman. He retired from all forms of international cricket in July 2022. In July 2005, Ramdin made both his Test and One Day International debut against Sri Lanka and India respectively.
