I'm Tore Down
"I'm Tore Down" or "Tore Down" is a blues song first recorded in 1961 by Freddie King (who was then known as "Freddy" King) for Federal Records. Pianist Sonny Thompson, who played on several early King songs, is credited as the songwriter. When Federal released it as single in 1961, with the instrumental "Sen-Sa-Shun" as the B-side, it reached number five on ''Billboard's'' Hot R&B Sides singles chart. Federal parent company King Records included the song on King's first album ''Freddy King Sings'' (1961). In 1971, King recorded a longer version for his Shelter Records album ''Getting Ready...'' Other renditions English rock musician Eric Clapton recorded "I'm Tore Down" for his 1994 blues tribute album ''From the Cradle''. For his recording, Clapton uses an arrangement close to King's original, including the falsetto vocal phrases and guitar fills. The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. In August 1982, the first compact disc was manufactured. It was then released in October 1982 in Japan and branded as ''Compact Disc Digital Audio, Digital Audio Compact Disc''. The format was later adapted (as CD-ROM) for general-purpose data storage. Gary Moore
Robert William Gary Moore (4 April 19526 February 2011) was a Northern Irish musician. Over the course of his career he played in various groups and performed a range of music including blues, blues rock, hard rock, heavy metal, and jazz fusion. Influenced by Peter Green and Eric Clapton, Moore began his career in the late 1960s when he joined Skid Row, with whom he released two albums. After Moore left the group he joined Thin Lizzy, featuring his former Skid Row bandmate and frequent collaborator Phil Lynott. Moore began his solo career in the 1970s and achieved major success with 1978's "Parisienne Walkways", which is considered his signature song. During the 1980s, Moore transitioned into playing hard rock and heavy metal with varying degrees of international success. ''70th Birthday Concert'' is a live electric blues video recording of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers to celebrate Mayall's 70th Birthday. Recorded in Liverpool, England on 19 July 2003, the concert was notable as it featured Eric Clapton as a guest, so marked the first time he and Mayall had performed together in almost 40 years, if one discounts Clapton guesting on Mayall's '' Back to the Roots''. The set also features Mick Taylor and Chris Barber. The gig was released on different formats. The original double CD contains the entire concert, whereas the DVD omitted the first two tracks sung by Buddy Whittington (which did not feature Mayall) and "California", but included an interview with Mayall as bonus. A CD/DVD issue included a heavily abridged version of the concert on CD. Finally, in 2009 the video was reissued on Blu-Ray Disc with the previously omitted three tracks appended as bonus tracks. John Mayall, OBE (born 29 November 1933) is an English blues singer, musician and songwriter, whose musical career spans over sixty years. In the 1960s, he was the founder of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, a band that has counted among its members some of the most famous blues and blues rock musicians. Personal life Born in Macclesfield, Cheshire, in 1933, Mayall grew up in Cheadle Hulme. He was the son of Murray Mayall, a guitarist and jazz enthusiast.
