''I'm Taraneh, 15'' ( fa, من ترانه، ۱۵ سال دارم, italic=yes) is a 2002 Iranian film directed by Rasul Sadrameli. The film was selected as the Iranian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 75th Academy Awards, but it did not make the final shortlist. Plot Fifteen-year-old Taraneh, whose widowed father is in jail, refuses the unwanted attentions of carpet salesman Amir - until Amir's mother, at the insistence of his son, talks Taraneh into accepting Amir's marriage proposal. However, instead of a typical marriage, the union is in form of a temporary religious ceremony or " sigheh." Within four months the couple realize that they are incompatible, they divorce and Amir returns to Germany. When Taraneh discovers that she is pregnant she decides against all advice and intense social pressure, to keep the baby. Rasoul Sadrameli ( fa, رسول صدرعاملی; born 1954 in Isfahan) is an Iranian film director, screenwriter, journalist and film producer. The Managing Director of MILAD FILM (established in 1979, the first company in distribution and production of Iranian films after revolution) began his journalism career while he was just 17, and he collaborated with Etela'at Newspaper as reporter, storywriter and editor of Incident page and then as the Editor of Parliamentary Service. He studied sociology at Paul Valéry university of Montpellier in France. He began his professional activities in the Cinema by production of a film entitled Blood Raining in 1981. This film is the first cinematic project after revolution. This is a list of submissions to the 75th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited the film industries of various countries to submit their best film for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film every year since the award was created in 1956. The award is handed out annually by the Academy to a Feature length, feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English language, English dialogue. The Foreign Language Film Award Committee oversees the process and reviews all the submitted films. For the 75th Academy Awards fifty-four films were submitted. Iran's annual Fajr International Film Festival ( fa, جشنواره بینالمللی فیلم فجر), or Fajr Film Festival (little: FIFF; fa, جشنواره فیلم فجر), has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982. Kambuzia Partovi
Kambuzia Partovi (also spelt Kambozia Partovi, fa, کامبوزیا پرتوی; 11 November 1955 – 24 November 2020) was an Iranian film director and screenwriter. Biography He was born in Rasht, Iran, on the Caspian Sea. After studying theater arts in school he wrote mainly scripts for TV series. In 1988 he made his feature film debut with ''Golnar''. His 2007 film '' Café Transit,'' which received the special mention at Mar del Plata film festival, was selected by Iran as its candidate for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He wrote screenplays for other directors, most notably Jafar Panahi's '' The Circle''. In 2013 he acted in and co-directed '' Closed Curtain'' with Panahi. Partovi trained and supported many Iranian artists and film makers, most notably Bahman Ghobadi. He died on 24 November 2020, of complications from COVID-19.
