"I'm Not Pretty" is a song by American country music singer Megan Moroney. The song was released in August 2023 as the second single from her debut studio album, ''Lucky (Megan Moroney album), Lucky''. Moroney wrote the song with Ben Williams, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Micah Carpenter. Content Moroney was inspired to write the song based on a real-life situation in which an ex's new girlfriend liked one of her old Instagram photos, leading her to contemplate that the girl was superficially sizing up her appearance, though the singer said that ultimately the song is "not meant to be taken too seriously" and intended as "an anthem for the girls". Megan Ann Moroney (born October 9, 1997) is an American country music singer and songwriter from Douglasville, Georgia. She charted her second single, " Tennessee Orange", in 2022. Her debut album '' Lucky'' was released in May 2023, reaching the top 40 of the ''Billboard'' 200. Biography Moroney was born October 9, 1997, in Savannah, Georgia. She began listening to country music in her childhood and learned to play piano. Moroney went to Robert S. Alexander High School and participated in theater. While attending the University of Georgia, she opened at a concert for Chase Rice, as well as interned for Kristian Bush of Sugarland. Megan now writes/co-writes all of her own music.
