I'm In Love (Lennon–McCartney Song)
"I'm in Love" is a song credited to Lennon–McCartney and possibly written by John Lennon. In 1963 the English Merseybeat band the Fourmost made a recording of the song at the EMI Studios, produced by George Martin. John Lennon said, in 1971, "Me—I wrote it for the Fourmost." He seemed less definite in his 1980 ''Playboy'' interview. In Paul McCartney's authorized biography, Barry Miles seems to refer to this song as a collaboration. Billy J. Kramer also recorded a version of the song, but the version by the Fourmost was selected for the issue and reached number 17 in the United Kingdom. The B-side, "Respectable", is a cover from the Isley Brothers. In America, the song was recorded by the short-lived West Coast band, The New Breed. It appears on the album ''The New Breed Wants You!'' and was the B-side of their single "Green-Eyed Woman", released on Diplomacy Records in 1965. The Fourmost are an English Merseybeat band that recorded in the 1960s. Their biggest UK hit single was "A Little Loving" in 1964. Biography Guitarist/vocalist Brian O'Hara and best friend guitarist/vocalist Joey Bower (born Joseph Bower, 17 November 1939, Dingle, Liverpool, Lancashire) formed the Two Jays in 1957. The group changed its name to the Four Jays in September 1959 when bass guitarist/singer Billy Hatton and drummer Brian Redman (born 21 June 1941, Huyton, Liverpool, Lancashire) joined the group. The Four Jays played at the Cavern Club on 1 March 1961. Rhythm guitarist/singer Mike Millward (ex- the Undertakers) joined the Four Jays in November 1961, followed by drummer/singer Dave Lovelady in September 1962. Glen Burtnik (born Glenn Burtnick; April 8, 1955) is a singer, songwriter, entertainer and multi-instrumentalist, best known as a former member of Styx. Burtnik is originally from North Brunswick, New Jersey, in the Middlesex County part of the Raritan Bayshore, of the larger Jersey Shore and lives in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Burtnik has written hit songs for Randy Travis, Patty Smyth and Don Henley. The Beatnix
The Beatnix is an Australian Beatles tribute band. It is amongst the longest running Beatles tribute shows in the world. History The concept for the band was conceived and assembled in March 1980 by founding member Tony Dean as a live performance entity. Through the years band membership has rolled over. The Beatnix show includes fully authentic musical instruments similar to those used by The Beatles. These include guitars by Gretsch, Höfner, Rickenbacker and Gibson, Vox AC30 guitar amplifiers and a Vox AC50 bass amplifier with a T60 bass cabinet.
