"I'm Gonna Get You" is a 1992 song by English electronic music group Bizarre Inc, featuring collaborative lead vocals by English singer Angie Brown. It was the second single from the group's second studio album, '' Energique'' (1992). It contains lyrics from the Jocelyn Brown song " Love's Gonna Get You", and a sample from "Brass Disk" by Dupree. "I'm Gonna Get You" proved to be a hit on the UK Singles Chart in October 1992, peaking at number three and later being certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 200,000 copies, and it also reached the number-three position in the Netherlands in January 1993. Bizarre Inc
Bizarre Inc were an English techno group. Formed in 1989 as a duo between English DJs Dean Meredith and Mark "Aaron" Archer (not to be confused with the film producer of the same name), they later re-formed as a trio consisting of Meredith, Andrew Meecham, and Carl Turner in 1990. Career The group formed as Meredith and Archer linked to start an acid-house/techno project under 'Blue Chip Records'. A label owned by former Wigan Casino DJ Kev Roberts. The first releases were (and still are) only available on 12'' vinyl: "It's Time to Get Funky" (BLUE C14R), later shortened to "Time to Get Funky" (BLUE C14RR); and the 6-track debut album ''Technological'', both written and produced by Meredith and Archer. "Love's Gonna Get You" is a 1985 dance single by Jocelyn Brown, a singer who had sung with the groups Salsoul Orchestra and Inner Life. The single was the first of four that Brown took to number one on the US dance chart. It also reached number thirty-eight on the R&B singles chart, and was her second R&B top 40 hit as a solo artist. Samples Love's Gonna Get You has been sampled in 80+ songs. It also interpolates a lyric from Ain't No Mountain High Enough by Inner Life which Jocelyn was featured on. One particular line in the song, "I've got the power!" became particularly prominent in the mainstream when it was sampled (without permission) by the hip hop/ dance group, Snap! on their smash hit, " The Power". Tasmin Archer (born 3 August 1963) is a British pop singer from Bradford, England. Her first album, ''Great Expectations'', spawned the hit "Sleeping Satellite", which reached number one in the United Kingdom and Ireland. She won the Brit Award for British Breakthrough Act in 1993 and has since released three more studio albums. Early life Archer was born in Bradford, Yorkshire. She attended Grange Upper School and, after leaving, first worked as a sewing machine operator. She attended Bradford College in 1980 to study typing, and then became a clerk at Leeds Magistrates' Court. Archer joined a group called Dignity as a backing vocalist, and played with different bands around the Bradford area. The Canadian dance chart was first known to be published on November 13, 1976 by ''RPM'' magazine under the name ''Top 30 Disco Playlist''. No chart was published from January 1980 until September 3, 1988. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''.
