"I'm Goin' Down" is a rock song written and performed by American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen. It was released on August 27, 1985 by Columbia Records as the sixth single from his 1984 album '' Born in the U.S.A.'' The song was recorded with the E Street Band in May 1982 at the Power Station music studio, and co-produced by Springsteen, Jon Landau, Chuck Plotkin, and Steve Van Zandt. Although Springsteen had changing ideas about the songs to put on the album, "I'm Goin' Down" was ultimately selected for inclusion. The recording is based on an energetic band performance that gives prominence to a heavy drum sound. The lyrics focus on sexual frustration in a deteriorating relationship. The single reached No. 9 in the United States and the top 30 in Sweden, Italy, and Canada. On the album's release, it was praised by critics for the band's musicianship and Springsteen's vocals and lyrics. Later it received favorable rankings in retrospectives of Springsteen's career ...

Metamorphosis (The Rolling Stones Album)
''Metamorphosis'' is the third compilation album of the Rolling Stones music released by former manager Allen Klein's ABKCO Records (who usurped control of the band's Decca/ London material in 1970) after the band's departure from Decca and Klein. Released in 1975, ''Metamorphosis'' centres on outtakes and alternate versions of well-known songs recorded from 1964 to 1970. History After the release of '' Hot Rocks 1964–1971'' in 1971, an album titled ''Necrophilia'' was compiled with the aid of Andrew Loog Oldham for release as a follow-up compilation, featuring many previously unreleased (or, more accurately, discarded) outtakes from the Rolling Stones' Decca/London period. While that project failed to materialise — with '' More Hot Rocks (Big Hits & Fazed Cookies)'' being released in its place — most of the unreleased songs were held over for a future project. In February 1974, to give it an air of authority, Bill Wyman involved himself in compiling an album he e ...
