I-11, Islamabad
I-11 is a sector of Islamabad, Pakistan. It is a lightly built area, located on the southwestern edge of the city. I-11 borders Rawalpindi to the south and neighbors I-10 and I-12, while sectors H-10, H-11 and H-12 are located adjacent. CDA has taken the possession of land from illegal encroachers and land grabbers and development work has started to hand over the possession to original owners of the plots. Background Sector I-11 was established by CDA in 1985 mainly for the people falling in low-income bracket of the income. Sector consists of small plots measuring 25'x40' , 25'x50' and 25'x60'. Small plots are located in sub-sector I-11/1 and comparatively larger residential plots are located in I-11/2. Afghan refugees are citizens of Afghanistan who were compelled to abandon their country as a result of major wars, persecution, torture or genocide. The 1978 Saur Revolution followed by the 1979 Soviet invasion marked the first wave of internal displacement and international migration from Afghanistan to neighboring Iran and Pakistan; smaller numbers also went to India or to the former Soviet Union. Between 1979 and 1992, more than 20% of Afghanistan's population fled the country as refugees. When the Soviet forces left Afghanistan in 1989, many began returning to their homeland. Interstate 11 (I-11) is an Interstate Highway that currently runs for on a predominantly northwest–southeast alignment in the US state of Nevada, running concurrently with US Route 93 (US 93) between the Arizona state line and Henderson. The freeway is tentatively planned to run from Nogales, Arizona, to the vicinity of Reno, Nevada, generally following the current routes of I-19, I-10, US 93, and US 95. Planners anticipate upgrading two existing highway segments to carry future I-11: US 93 in Arizona from Wickenburg to the Nevada state line on the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge over the Colorado River, and US 95 in Nevada from the Las Vegas Valley to Tonopah. Rawalpindi ( or ; Urdu, ) is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
