"I, E.T." is the second episode from the first season of the television series '' Farscape'', written by Sally Lapiduss and directed by Pino Amenta. This episode originally aired following " Thank God It's Friday, Again", episode #6. Synopsis A Paddac beacon wired to Moya's neural system activates as a result of the removal of her control collar in the previous episode, transmitting location signals to any nearby Peacekeeper ship. Crichton suggests landing Moya in a nearby planet's swamp to muffle the signal, and it is done. Then, Crichton, Aeryn and D'Argo search the planet for a Leviathan anaesthetic ("clorium") to help ease Moya's pain during the surgical removal of the beacon. Rygel is the only one small enough to squeeze through Moya's walls to access the beacon's wiring, but is reluctant to help. Farscape
''Farscape'' is an Australian-American science fiction television series, produced originally for the Nine Network. It premiered in the US on Sci-Fi Channel's SciFi Friday, 19 March 1999, at 8:00 pm EST as their anchor series. The series was conceived by Rockne S. O'Bannon and produced by The Jim Henson Company and Hallmark Entertainment. The Jim Henson Company was responsible for the various alien make-up and prosthetics, and two regular characters (the animatronic puppets Rygel and Pilot) are entirely Creature Shop creations. Although the series was planned for five seasons, it was abruptly cancelled after production had ended on its fourth season, ending the series on a cliffhanger. Co-producer Brian Henson later secured the rights to ''Farscape'', paving the way for a three-hour miniseries to wrap up the cliffhanger, titled '' Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars'', which Henson directed. Sally Lapiduss (born c. 1956) is an American television producer and writer. Her credits include ''Charles in Charge'', ''Family Matters'', ''Mad About You'', ''Ellen'', ''The Nanny'', '' Caroline in the City'', ''Farscape'', ''Titus'', ''The Tracy Morgan Show'' and ''Hannah Montana''. She was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards for her work on the latter series, as a part of the producing and writing team. She is the sister of fellow producer and writer Maxine Lapiduss. Both sisters are openly lesbian. In the first few years of her career she worked with Pamela Eells O'Connell until 1995. Matthew Carroll OBE (born 6 June 1944) is an Australian film and TV producer. He is best known for producing films since the early 1970s including ''Breaker Morant'', '' Storm Boy'' and '' Sunday Too Far Away''. "Premiere" is the pilot episode of the '' Farscape'' series. It was written by series creator Rockne S. O'Bannon and directed by Andrew Prowse. It is the only episode in the series whose opening credits lack Crichton's usual voiceover. ''Farscape'' is a science fiction television show. Four regular seasons were produced, from 1999 to 2003. Each season consists of 22 episodes. Each episode is intended to air in a one-hour television timeslot (with commercials), and runs for 44 to 50 minutes. The regular seasons were followed by '' Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars'' in 2004, a 2 part miniseries with an air time of 3 hours. Several of the early episodes of Season One were aired out of the intended order. As the official Farscape website lists them in the production order as opposed to airing order, the list below reflects that. Anthony Simcoe (born 7 June 1969) is an Australian actor, known for his portrayal of Steve Kerrigan in the 1997 film '' The Castle'' and Ka D'Argo in the science fiction television series ''Farscape''. In the American film industry, a featurette is a kind of film that is shorter than a full-length feature, but longer than a short film. The term may refer to either of two types of content: a shorter film or a companion film. Medium-length films A featurette is a film usually of three to four reels in length, or about 22–43 minutes in running time, thus longer than a two-reel short subject but shorter than a feature film. The television series ''Farscape'' features an extensive cast of characters created by Rockne S. O'Bannon. The series is set aboard a living spacecraft named Moya of the Leviathan race. The physical, racial and species-specific cultural characteristics, as well as underlying mythological/sociological similarities' and differences of the alien races portrayed in ''Farscape'' were conceptualised and created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.
