''I'm Standing Here'' is an early EP album by Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, released on November 30, 2001. Background Including their split mini-album with rock musician Caramelman, ''I'm Standing Here'' was the third and last independent EP the band recorded before releasing their major-label debut EP, ''Hōkai Amplifier''. In contrast to their previous indie releases, the band composed the songs featured on the mini-album mostly with Japanese lyrics. While the mini-album retained only one single, "Konayuki," it came to receive significant airplay on indie radio stations and a redone version was later included within the band's debut EP. Asian Kung-Fu Generation
(stylized as ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION) is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in Yokohama in 1996. For its entire career, the band has consisted of vocalist Masafumi Gotoh, guitarist Kensuke Kita, bassist Takahiro Yamada, and drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi. Starting out as a college band, Asian Kung-Fu Generation released a series of independent EPs featuring lyrics mostly sung in English. In 2002, they released their major-label EP debut '' Hōkai Amplifier'', from that point singing their lyrics in Japanese. The band's musical style is influenced by seminal Western alternative rock acts as well as their own local Japanese indie-rock and punk scene. Kimi No Machi Made
is a song by Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. It was released as the fourth and final single of their second full-length studio album, '' Sol-fa'', on September 23, 2004. Music video The music video for "Kimi no Machi Made" was directed by Daisuke Shibata. The PV revolves around a synchronised swimming duo at a competition performing their routine to the rhythm of the song. Despite the great amount of pressure on their shoulders as well as the interference of a giant crayfish, the two are able to successfully execute their routine. Kiyoshi Ijichi
(born September 25, 1977) is the drummer of the Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Ijichi credits the origin of his drumming ability to playing in marching bands in junior high. He met fellow band members Masafumi Gotō, Kensuke Kita, and Takahiro Yamada while attending Kanto Gakuin University in 1996. Unlike the others, Ijichi had prior band experience and was a member of another college band when approached by the three. After parting ways with his old band, Ijichi joined Gotō, Kita, and Yamada to form Asian Kung-Fu Generation and the four have been together ever since. Aside from drumming, Ijichi is a skilled pianist and can be heard playing an excerpt of "Claire de Lune" from Debussy's '' Suite bergamasque'' for the intro of "Moonlight." Takahiro Yamada (musician)
is the bass player and backing vocalist of the Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Yamada met fellow band members Masafumi Gotoh and Kensuke Kita while attending a music club of Kanto Gakuin University. The three formed Asian Kung-Fu Generation in 1996, with drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi joining the band shortly after. (January 24, 1977) is the lead guitarist and backing singer of the Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Kensuke met fellow band members Masafumi Gotō and Takahiro Yamada while attending a music club of Kanto Gakuin University. The three formed Asian Kung-Fu Generation in 1996, with drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi joining the band shortly after. Masafumi Gotoh
(December 2, 1976) is the lead vocalist, main songwriter and rhythm guitarist of the Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Masafumi met fellow band members Kensuke Kita and Takahiro Yamada while attending a music club of Kanto Gakuin University. The three formed Asian Kung-Fu Generation in 1996, with drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi joining the band shortly after. As the main songwriter of the band, Gotoh is credited with writing a majority of their lyrics, but has a strong tendency to share songwriting duties equally among his bandmates. His vocal style most often alternates between soft, melodic singing, and harder, harsher, yelling. is the first studio album by Japanese rock music, rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation and their second major-label release overall, released on November 19, 2003 on Kioon Music. The album's name is sometimes given as "Kunkei Five M," but the reading "Kimitsunagi" is given in katakana on the original compact disc. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock".
