I'm Moving On (Yoko Ono Song)
"I'm Moving On" is a song by Yoko Ono. It was originally recorded for 1980's ''Double Fantasy'' album, with John Lennon. A remix was released on iTunes on 25 September 2012. The remix debuted at number 39, and peaked at number 4. Recording During the ''Double Fantasy'' sessions, on August 12, 1980, a version of "I'm Moving On" was recorded with a lineup that included Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen and Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos. Tony Levin played bass guitar, since Cheap Trick bassist Tom Petersson had recently left the group. The same lineup also recorded a version of Lennon's " I'm Losing You" the same day. Neither song was released on ''Double Fantasy'' in their Cheap Trick-backed version. Possible reasons for their exclusions are that Cheap Trick's management may have wanted too much money, or that Lennon believed that the performances were more "heavy" than he wanted. Yoko Ono
Yoko Ono ( ; ja, 小野 洋子, Ono Yōko, usually spelled in katakana ; born February 18, 1933) is a Japanese multimedia artist, singer, songwriter, and peace activist. Her work also encompasses performance art and filmmaking. Ono grew up in Tokyo and moved to New York City in 1953 with her family. She became involved with New York City's downtown artists scene in the early 1960s, which included the Fluxus group, and became well known in 1969 when she married English musician John Lennon of the Beatles. The couple used their honeymoon as a stage for public protests against the Vietnam War. She and Lennon remained married until he was murdered in front of the couple's apartment building, the Dakota, on 8 December 1980. Together they had one son, Sean, who later also became a musician. Ralphi Rosario is an American house musician and founding member of the influential Chicago DJ group Hot Mix 5. Biography When Hot Mix 5 was formed in 1981 on radio station WBMX (now WVAZ), Rosario, the youngest member of the group, was still in high school. The Sleepy Jackson are an Australian alternative rock band formed in Perth, Western Australia. The band's name was inspired by a former drummer who was narcoleptic. ''Yes, I'm a Witch'' is a remix album by Yoko Ono released on February 6, 2007 by Apple Records and Astralwerks. Artists invited to contribute were asked to select a song from Ono's back catalogue, and were then presented with all the necessary elements to create a remix/cover of their desire. According to the press release, nearly every artist chose only the vocals, and created entirely new backing tracks to demonstrate the versatility of Ono's compositions. The song choices span Ono's career from her early experimental work with John Lennon in the late 1960s through to her solo career in the 1970s and 1980s. The album draws its title from a 1974 Ono song featured on her album ''A Story'', a track which is featured on the album in a reworked version by The Brother Brothers.
