I'm A Rebel (song)
"I'm a Rebel" is a hard rock song written by Scottish musician Alex Young (also known as George Alexander), that has been recorded and released by Accept and U.D.O. A version of the song recorded by Australian hard rock band AC/DC has never been released. Alex Young was the older brother of AC/DC guitarists Angus Young and Malcolm Young. AC/DC version "I'm a Rebel" was recorded by AC/DC at Maschen, Germany, in 1976. After an AC/DC show in Machen, promoter Rudy Holzhauer asked the band to record Alex Young's song within Maschen. AC/DC recorded the song in a few hours with Alex Young on lead vocals, while usual singer Bon Scott (who was reportedly very drunk at the time) did backing vocals. It was recorded without the bands' usual producers, George Young (also a younger brother of Alex Young) and Harry Vanda. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In the late 1960s, bands such as Blue Cheer, the Jeff Beck Group, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Golden Earring, Steppenwolf and Deep Purple also produced hard rock. The genre developed into a major form of popular music in the 1970s, with the Who, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple being joined by Queen, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Kiss, and Van Halen. Phil Rudd
Phillip Hugh Norman Rudd (born Phillip Hugh Norman Witschke Rudzevecius, 19 May 1954) is an Australian drummer, best known as the drummer of AC/DC across three stints. On the 1977 departure of bass guitarist Mark Evans from AC/DC, Rudd became the only Australian-born member of the band. In 2003, he entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with the other members of AC/DC. In 2014, Rudd released his first solo album, ''Head Job''. Due to ongoing legal problems in New Zealand, where he is a resident, Rudd was unable to join the band for the 2015 Rock or Bust World Tour and was replaced by Chris Slade. Stefan Kaufmann (born 4 August 1960) is a German drummer and guitarist, best known as a member of the heavy metal bands Accept and U.D.O. Career He joined Accept as drummer early enough to appear on the cover photos for their debut album, but too late to record the drums for the album (that was done by Frank Friedrich). Jörg Fischer
Jörg Fischer (born 4 July 1957) is a German guitar player, primarily known for his work with the German band Accept. He joined the band at the end of the recording sessions for their self-titled debut and plays on the albums ''I'm a Rebel'' and ''Breaker'' until leaving before recording began for the fourth album ''Restless and Wild''. After the recording of ''Balls to the Wall'' was completed he was asked to rejoin the band. Fischer appears on the albums ''Metal Heart'' and '' Russian Roulette''. By this time his role had diminished mainly to rhythm guitarist, although he is featured as lead guitarist on the songs "Living for Tonite", "Wrong Is Right', "Aiming High", "Another Second to Be" and "Lay Down the Law" (performed by Accept on UDO's ''Animal House'' album). Wolf Hoffmann
Wolf Hoffmann (born 10 December 1959) is a German musician, primarily known as the guitarist and last remaining original member of heavy metal band Accept since 1976. His work in Accept influenced the development of speed metal genre. He is also one of the first players of neoclassical metal. Hoffmann has played in all Accept's line-ups since 1976. The band was inactive between 1997 and 2008 except some live performances in 2005. The band was reformed by Hoffmann and another original member Peter Baltes in 2009 after they met the singer Mark Tornillo. Their comeback album, ''Blood of the Nations'', was released on 20 August 2010 to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Four follow-up albums were released successively since then. Udo Dirkschneider (born 6 April 1952) is a German singer and songwriter who rose to fame with German heavy metal band Accept. After leaving the band in 1987, he formed U.D.O., with which he has also enjoyed commercial success. Biography Former Accept and current U.D.O. lead singer Udo Dirkschneider has a long career spawning almost five decades that helped to shape German heavy metal. His unique and raspy voice approach and, his taste for huge choruses made big part of Accept's appeal and made him the one of most recognizable characters in the heavy metal history. The ''Pomp and Circumstance Marches'' (full title ''Pomp and Circumstance Military Marches''), Op. 39, are a series of five (or six) marches for orchestra composed by Sir Edward Elgar. The first four were published between 1901 and 1907, when Elgar was in his forties; the fifth was published in 1930, a few years before his death; and a sixth, compiled posthumously from sketches, was published in 1956 and in 2005–2006. "Burning" is a song by German heavy metal band Accept, from their album ''Breaker'', released in 1981. Written and composed by Wolf Hoffmann, Peter Baltes, Jörg Fischer, Stefan Kaufmann and Udo Dirkschneider, it was also released as a single with "Down and Out" as the B-side. Two other songs on the ''Breaker'' album ("Breaker" and "Starlight") were also released as singles in 1981.
