I'll See You In Paris
Michelle Gable is an American author based in San Diego. She has published two novels, ''A Paris Apartment'' in 2014 and ''I'll See You in Paris'' in 2016, the former of which has appeared on ''The New York Times'' Best Seller List. Early life and career Gable grew up in Del Mar, California, a beach city near San Diego. She developed an early interest in writing when her parents gave her a book entitled, ''Someday You'll Write''. She attended Torrey Pines High School in San Diego. After high school, Gable attended and graduated from The College of William & Mary in 1996 with a BBA in Accounting. She went on to have a career in finance, eventually becoming the head of investor relations at the software company, Ellie Mae. She began writing at the age of 10 and at the age of 31 decided to try to get published. She spent several years working on what would become her first novel, ''A Paris Apartment''. Thomas Dunne Books was an imprint of St. Martin's Press, which is a division of Macmillan Publishers. From 1986 until April 2020, it published popular trade fiction and nonfiction. History The imprint signed David Irving, a scholar, for a Joseph Goebbels biography in 1996 but had to drop the book when it was found out that Irving was a Holocaust denier for having links to Institute for Historical Review, "the literary center of the United States Holocaust-denial movement." In October 1999, St. Martin's Press recalled a Dunne book, ''Fortunate Son: George W. Bush and the Making of an American President'', and destroyed them after various incidents about the author, J. Gladys Marie Spencer-Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough (''née'' Deacon; 7 February 1881 – 13 October 1977) was a French American aristocrat and socialite. She was the mistress and later the second wife of Charles Spencer-Churchill, 9th Duke of Marlborough. Early life Born in Paris, Gladys Marie Deacon was the daughter of American citizens Edward Parker Deacon and his wife Florence, daughter of Admiral Charles H. Baldwin. Giovanni Boldini
Giovanni Boldini (31 December 1842 – 11 January 1931) was an Italian genre and portrait painter who lived and worked in Paris for most of his career. According to a 1933 article in ''Time'' magazine, he was known as the "Master of Swish" because of his flowing style of painting. Early life Boldini was born in Ferrara, Italy on 31 December 1842. He was the son of a painter of religious subjects, and the younger brother of architect Luigi (Louis) Boldini. In 1862, he went to Florence for six years to study and pursue painting. He only infrequently attended classes at the Academy of Fine Arts, but in Florence, met other realist painters known as the Macchiaioli, who were Italian precursors to Impressionism. Torrey Pines High School is a high school in the North County Coastal area of San Diego, California. The school is named after the Torrey pine tree that grows in the area.
