I'll Bet
''I'll Bet'' is an American game show that ran on NBC from March 29 to September 24, 1965. The series was created by Ralph Andrews, and hosted by Jack Narz. The series was a precursor to ''It's Your Bet''. Gameplay Two celebrity couples played. Before taping, one member of each couple drew a name of whom they were playing for, but only the TV station of where that person watches the show was revealed until the end. A separating wall first divided the couple so they could not see what the other bet. One half of the couple (starting with the wife) was told a question through an earpiece. Afterward, he/she made a bet (from $10–$100) on whether their partner would answer the question right or wrong (a lever was pulled which either lit up the phrase "CAN" or "CAN'T"). Patricia Blair (born Patsy Lou Blake; January 15, 1933 – September 9, 2013) was an American television and film actress, primarily on 1950s and 1960s television. She is best known as Rebecca Boone in all six seasons of NBC's ''Daniel Boone'', with co-stars Fess Parker, Darby Hinton, Veronica Cartwright, and Ed Ames. Beverly Lucy Garland (née Fessenden; October 17, 1926 – December 5, 2008) was an American actress. Robert Martin Culp (August 16, 1930 – March 24, 2010) was an American actor widely known for his work in television. Culp earned an international reputation for his role as Kelly Robinson on ''I Spy'' (1965–1968), the espionage television series in which co-star Bill Cosby and he played secret agents. Before this, he starred in the CBS/ Four Star Western series '' Trackdown'' as Texas Ranger Hoby Gilman in 71 episodes from 1957 to 1959. Lost television broadcasts are mostly those early television programs which cannot be accounted for in studio archives (or in personal archives) usually because of deliberate destruction or neglect. Common reasons for loss A significant proportion of early television programming was never recorded in the first place. Early broadcasting in all genres was live and sometimes performed repeatedly. Due to there being no means to record the broadcast or, later, because the content itself was thought to have little monetary or historical value it was not deemed necessary to save it. In the United Kingdom, early programming was lost due to contractual demands by the actors' union to limit the rescreening of performances. Apart from Phonovision experiments by John Logie Baird, and some 280 rolls of 35mm film containing some of Paul Nipkow television station broadcasts, no recordings of transmissions from 1939 or earlier are known to exist.
