Ho Chi Minh City Customs Football Club ( vi, Câu lạc bộ bóng đá Hải quan Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh), simply known as Customs F.C. ( vi, Câu lạc bộ bóng đá Hải quan), was a Vietnamese association football club based in Ho Chi Minh City. They were champions in the 1991 season of the V.League, Vietnam's top-level football league. Thống Nhất Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is located at 138 Đào Duy Từ Street, Ward 6, District 10. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium for both Sài Gòn and Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh of the V.League 1. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000. History Early years In 1929, Chợ Lớn Municipal Commission decided to build a new stadium in the city. The stadium was named ''Renault Field'' after the city commission's chairman at the time - Philippe Oreste Renault. The stadium was opened on October 18, 1931 by an inauguration football match between Cho Lon Police and Gia Dinh Stars with the Cho Lon side taking a 1-0 win. 1980 V-League
1980 saw the inaugural national football championship in Vietnam known locally as the Vietnam National A1 Football Cup. Seventeen teams took part in the competition that was played in two stages; a Group stage featuring 3 groups of 6 and 5 teams and a Championship stage featuring the three group winners. Originally there are 18 teams, with 8 from Hồng Hà League in the North, 2 from Trường Sơn League in the Central and 8 from Cửu Long League in the South. Vietnamese National Football Cup
Vietnamese National Football Cup ( vi, Giải Bóng đá Cúp Quốc Gia Việt Nam), now officially recognized as the BaF Meat National Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a Vietnamese football competition. It is one of the most important club competitions in Vietnam. The Vietnamese Cup was first held in 1992. Cảng Sài Gòn was the first cup winners. Format Entry is open to all teams that compete in the V.League 1 (Champions League) and the V.League 2 (First League).
