Hünxe () is a municipality in the district of Wesel, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is part of the Rhine-Waal euroregion Geography Hünxe is located approximately 10 km east of Wesel and 9 km north of Dinslaken. The neighbouring municipalities are: Schermbeck, Dorsten, Bottrop, Dinslaken, Voerde, Wesel und Hamminkeln. The most part of the municipality belongs to the natural park ''Hohe Mark''. The river Lippe and the Wesel–Datteln Canal cross the municipality. Area The municipality of Hünxe spans over an area of 106,80 km². Hünxe-Bruckhausen
Bruckhausen is a district of the municipality of Hünxe in the district of Wesel on the Lower Rhine in North Rhine-Westphalia. The district was shaped by mining for many years. Geography Geographically, Bruckhausen is an independent village, located about 5 km north of Dinslaken and 6 km south of Hünxe, with currently 4,004 wikt:resident, residents. The area of the district is 2011.7 ha. Bruckhausen is flowed through by the Mühlenbach (also known as Möllebeck called). Wesel–Datteln Canal
The Wesel–Datteln Canal (german: Wesel-Datteln-Kanal) is a long canal in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It runs along the northern edge of the Ruhr Area, from the Rhine near Wesel () to the Dortmund-Ems Canal near Datteln (). It forms an important transport connection between the Lower Rhine and northern and eastern Germany, together with the parallel Rhine-Herne Canal. Construction of the Wesel–Datteln Canal was started in 1915, and the canal was opened in . It runs parallel to the river Lippe. The canal has six locks, at Friedrichsfeld, Hünxe, Dorsten, Flaesheim, Ahsen and Datteln. The Lippe () is a river in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Rhine and in length with an elevation difference of 125 metres and a catchment area of 4.890 km². The source is located at the edge of the Teutoburg Forest in Bad Lippspringe close to the city of Paderborn. It runs westward through Paderborn, Lippstadt and then along the northern edge of the Ruhr area, parallel to the river Emscher and river Ruhr. The river finally enters the Rhine at Wesel.
