Hülya Darcan
Hülya Darcan Korel (born 27 April 1951) is a Turkish actress best known for portraying Hayme Hatun, Ertuğrul's mother, in historical series '' Diriliş: Ertuğrul'' from 2014 to 2019. She is the mother of actress Bergüzar Korel and mother-in-law of Halit Ergenç. Biography Her family is of Albanian descent. She is a graduate of high school. In 1967, at the age of 16, she was 3rd in the ''Ses Mecmuası'' cover star contest, one of the famous magazines of the era. As a result, she received an offer from the cinema. She played the lead role with Fikret Hakan, Ekrem Bora and Tugay Toksöz in her first film ''Silahları Ellerinde Öldüler.'' She married Tanju Korel, whom she met in 1971, and married in 1974. They had two children, Zeynep, who was born in 1977, and Bergüzar Korel born in 1982. Tanju Korel
Tanju Korel (10 October 1944 – 21 September 2005) was a Turkish actor and documentary director. Life and career Tanju Korel was born on 10 October 1944 in Istanbul. After graduating from Galatasaray High School, he continued his education at the University of Grenoble. In 1966, he took part in an acting competition organized by ''Perde'' magazine, where he earned the first place together with the fellow actor Murat Soydan. He made his cinmeatic debut in the same year with a role in the movie ''Eşkiya''. He also appeared in a number of TV series. In 1974, he married actress Hülya Darcan, with whom she had two daughters: Zeynep and Bergüzar. Korel also produced a number of documentaries throughout his career. Death Korel died on 21 September 2005 after suffering from lung cancer. His remains were buried at the Zincirlikuyu Cemetery. Bergüzar Gökçe Korel (; born 27 August 1982) is a Turkish actress. Career Korel made her debut as ''Leyla'' in '' Kurtlar Vadisi: Irak'' (Valley of the Wolves: Iraq). She came to wide attention after starring as ''Şehrazat Evliyaoğlu'' in ''Binbir Gece''. She appeared in '' Magnificent Century'' as a guest role of Monica Teresse for one episode (Episode 24). In 2012, she starred as ''Feride Şadoğlu'' alongside Kenan İmirzalıoğlu in the popular series '' Karadayı''. Personal life Her family is of Cretan Turk, Rumelian Turk and Albanian descent. She graduated from the Theatre department of the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Hayme Hatun, also known as Hayme Ana () due to her loving everyone as her own children, is a character in the Turkish TV series '' Diriliş: Ertuğrul''. Hayme is portrayed by Turkish actress Hülya Darcan and the character is based on the alleged grandmother of Osman I, Hayme Hatun. Background Hayme Hatun was born in the Dodurga tribe to her father the bey of the tribe , and she had elder brothers, all of whom were martyred except Korkut. After Süleyman Şah's first wife died, he came to ask for Hayme Hatun's hand from her father, the Bey of the Dodurga. Ertuğrul Bey (fictional Character)
Ertuğrul Bey is the main protagonist in the Turkish TV series, '' Diriliş: Ertuğrul'', portrayed by Engin Altan Düzyatan. He also appears in the sequel, '' Kuruluş: Osman'', where he is played by Tamer Yiğit and is referred to as Ertuğrul Gazi. The character is based on Ertuğrul, the father of Osman I. Background Ertuğrul was born as the third son of Süleyman Şah and the second biological son of Hayme Hatun. He was originally looked after by his uncle, Korkut Bey, when his father was fighting in a war. As a youngster, he found three orphaned boys in a forest, Turgut Alp, Bamsı Beyrek and Doğan Alp, bringing them to the tribe and growing up with them as adoptive brothers. Ertuğrul or Ertuğrul Gazi ( ota, ارطغرل, Erṭoġrıl; tk, ; died ) was a 13th century bey, who was the father of Osman I. Little is known about Ertuğrul's life.
