Höks Hundred ( sv, Höks härad) was a Hundred (county division), hundred in Halland, Sweden. The name probably comes from tumulus (''[grav]hög'') or headland, hook. It was composed of the following parishes: Hasslöv parish, Hasslöv, Hishult parish, Hishult, Knäred parish, Knäred, Laholm parish, Laholm, Ränneslöv parish, Ränneslöv, Skummeslöv parish, Skummeslöv, Tjärby parish, Tjärby, Veinge parish, Veinge, Våxtorp parish, Våxtorp and Ysby parish, Ysby, all currently in Laholm Municipality, as well as Östra Karup parish, Östra Karup in Båstad Municipality. Laholm Municipality
Laholm () is a town and the seat of Laholm Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 6,527 inhabitants in 2015. Laholm is, despite its small population, for historical reasons often still referred to as a ''city''. The town is located at the estuary of the river Lagan in the Bay of Laholm. History Laholm is one of Sweden's oldest cities, and it is the oldest city in the province of Halland. Våxtorp Parish
Våxtorp () is a locality situated in Laholm Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 970 inhabitants in 2010. The village is situated not too far from the horst Hallandsåsen and the national highway number 24 runs through it. Most of the modern settlement has grown around the crossing of the roads from Båstad to Hishult and Laholm to Örkelljunga. In the beginning of the last century the village was not more than a couple of farms near this crossing. The most noted landmark is the church of the ''Våxtorp-Hasslöv'' parish and the two skiing centres. The settlement dates back at least to the Middle Ages when the church was built.
