Håkan Jeppsson
Håkan Lennart Jeppsson (6 May 1961 – 6 December 2018) was a Swedish businessman who was the chairman of the Swedish Association football club Malmö FF, a post he held from 2010 until his death in 2018. Jeppsson received his education at Lund University and worked as CEO for Inwido. Career Sport career In his younger years Jeppsson played football at Malmö FF simultaneously as he played table tennis at IK Pallas. After a couple of years being active in both sports he decided to quit football in favour of becoming a professional table tennis player. Jeppsson had his active career at the same time as Sweden was dominating the table tennis world in the 1970s and the 1980s. After growing tired of the life as a professional player he decided to focus on a civil career and started studying international economy at Lund University. Bengt Madsen
Bengt-Åke Knud Madsen (5 October 1942 – 15 November 2021) was a Swedish football chairman for the Swedish club Malmö FF, a post he held between 1999 and 2009. Madsen is most renowned for leading the club from their first relegation in 65 years in 1999 to their first Swedish championship in 16 years in 2004. He also had a prominent role in Malmö FF moving from Malmö Stadion to Stadion. Madsen is also famous for being a controversial figure in the sport such as an incident in 2002 when Madsen verbally criticized referee Anders Frisk in half-time in an Allsvenskan match between Malmö FF and Hammarby IF. Svenska Supercupen
Svenska Supercupen, ''Swedish Super Cup'', was a one-off fixture in Swedish football played between the Allsvenskan champions and the winners of Svenska Cupen. The fixture was played in November, after the Allsvenskan season. In the event of a club winning the double (as AIK did in 2009 and Helsingborg in 2011) the runner up of the Allsvenskan would take part. In 2011, Helsingborgs IF became the first team to have won Svenska Supercupen and not being the defending Allsvenskan champions. The winner of Svenska Supercupen received a prize money of 250,000 SEK. The 2015 match, which became the last edition, was played on 8 November at Nya Parken, Norrköping where league winners IFK Norrköping competed against cup winners IFK Göteborg. The 2017–18 Svenska Cupen was the 62nd season of the Svenska Cupen and the sixth season with the current format. The winners of the competition earned a place in the second qualifying round of the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League, unless they had already qualified for European competition in the 2018–19 season, in which case the qualification spot went to fourth-placed team of the 2017 Allsvenskan. A total of 96 clubs entered the competition. The first two rounds were played between 7 June and 10 October 2017 respectively. The first round draw was announced on 20 March 2017, and the draw for the second round was announced on 3 August 2017. The winners of the competition will earn a place in the second qualifying round of the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League. A total of 96 clubs will enter the competition. The final was played on 5 May 2016 and contested between Malmö FF and BK Häcken at Swedbank Stadion, Malmö, with BK Häcken winning. Svenska Cupen (, ''The Swedish Cup'') is a knockout cup competition in Swedish football and the main Swedish football cup. Svenska Cupen usually refers to the men's tournament, although a women's tournament is also held. Each year 96 teams compete, comprising the 16 teams from Allsvenskan and the 16 teams of Superettan together with 64 teams from lower tiers of the league system. The winners qualify for the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League. The winner is awarded Gustaf VI Adolf Cup. Compared to cups in many other countries, Svenska Cupen attracts considerably less public interest and even the cup final is rarely sold out. Consequently, the Swedish Football Association has experimented with the format in order to raise the profile of the cup.
