The KJ Choi Invitational is a golf tournament on the Korean Tour. It was co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour from 2011 to 2013. It was played for the first time in October 2011 at the Haesley Nine Bridges Golf Club in Yeoju, South Korea. The tournament is hosted by South Korean golfer K. J. Yeoju
Yeoju () is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Yeoju was a county but was raised to the status of a city in September 2013. Together with the neighboring city of Icheon, it is known as a major center of contemporary South Korean ceramics, and hosts the World Ceramic Exposition every year. Kim Tae-hoon (golfer)
Kim Tae-hoon ( ko, 김태훈; born 15 September 1985) is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the Korean Tour. He has won four times on the tour, including the 2020 Genesis Championship. Professional career Kim turned professional in 2005 and made his debut on the Korean Tour in 2007. However, he had little success until 2013 when he won the Bosung CC Classic and had 8 top-10 finishes in the 11 events he played in. He finished third in the points-based Order of Merit and fourth in the prize money list. He had less success in 2014 but was twice runner-up, in the Happiness Songhak Construction Open and the KJ Choi Invitational, and finished 16th in the money list. Kim Si-woo ( ko, 김시우; born 28 June 1995), also known as Si Woo Kim, is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2017 Players Championship to become the youngest ever winner of the event at age 21. Professional career Kim finished tied for 20th at the 2012 PGA Tour Qualifying School. Kang Sung-hoon ( ko, 강성훈; born 4 June 1987), also known as Sung Kang, is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2019 AT&T Byron Nelson, his first win on the PGA Tour. Amateur career In April 2006 Kang won the SBS Lotte Skyhill Open, the opening event of the Korean Tour season. Hwang Inn-choon ( ko, 황인춘; born 26 September 1974) is a professional golfer from South Korea. He turned professional in 2002 at the age of 27. Professional career Hwang plays primarily on the Korean Tour, full-time since 2003, picking up three victories in 2007 and 2008. The 2017 Korean Tour was the seventh season of the Korean Tour to carry Official World Golf Ranking points. The season consisted of 19 events, two of which were co-sanctioned by the OneAsia Tour and one by the Asian Tour.
